Foles is better than K. Moore. Comeon lets stop kidding ourselves. He was the Eagles starter for a couple of seasons and did a decent job ( not great). 2012- 79.1 qbr. 2013-119.2 and 2014-81.4

In what universe and on what team would K. Moore EVER be the starter. I'm all for giving guys chances but at some point, it is what it is.

He asked for a release. Does anyone think he did that so he could come here and back up Romo? Does anyone here think he would win the job from Romo?

Nothing to see here, move along.

Yeah and he looked better than Foles as hard as that is to believe.

You guys do realize he played so poorly after signing a big extension that he got benched for Case Keenum just a little more than halfway through the season.

When teams make financial commitments to players they tend to ride them longer than normal because of the financial investment. It took like 10 games for the Rams to bail on the guy and go with Keenum.

Financial commitments or not, Jeff Fisher isn't a coach who sets up his qb's to succeed. Foles definitely has his limitations, but a decent offensive minded coach should be able to make better use of his talents. Just going off what I've seen from Foles and Moore, I'd say Foles is the better athlete and Foles is more accurate. If we can get anyone in now, who is better than anything we have, we better do it or it will be 2015 all over.

He looked good a couple seasons ago. The league is filled with guys who were good a couple of seasons ago. They still traded him for Bradford. Then the Rams benched him. So he's not playing at a starting level right now. The idea that he'd come to a new team and a new offense and necessarily be an upgrade isn't crazy, but it's far from a given.

Like I've said above, if he'll come here for a chance at the backup job, I'd welcome him. I just don't think he'd end up winning it. Of the guys available this offseason, I like Foles less than McCoy, Daniels, M. Moore, or Hoyer, fwtw.

According to Linehan and Garrett he isn't. Moore isn't going anywhere. It is what it is.

Foles comes here and both Kellen and Jameill are gone and... That's not gonna happen.

If Romo gets hurt again and the offense looks exactly like it did last year without him then both of those guys need to be fired. Linehan just can't keep turning every qb away just to keep Moore on the roster when he clearly doesn't have the physical tools to get it done on the NFL level.

He certainly did not ask for his release thinking he was going to start somewhere unless he is delusional.

Foles' numbers with Philly and the Rams over the last two seasons:
376 of 648 58.0% 4215 yd 6.5 ypa 20 td 20 int 75.0

The combined numbers of every other QB who played for those teams during those seasons:
283 of 442 64.0% 3277yd 7.4 ypa 18 td 12 int 88.6

Ok......now let's put Matt Cassell and Kellen Moore on those teams and see what happens. Amazing the dumb posts coming in this thread after what we watched last year

Foles is a bum. He had one GREAT year under Kelly and has proven that he can't play under anyone else but Kelly. San Fran should maybe give him a look but even then i'd rather have Kap.

Comparatively, what has Kellen Moore ever done in 4 years at the NFL level?

He did it for an opportunity to turn his career around. He had no future with the Rams, especially after the just drafted their future quarterback.

If he's looking for a chance to play, Romo's history of injury gives him as good a chance as anywhere else.

The difference is that Foles is the only guy left who's available.

He's Linehan's guy for sure, not sure he's Garrett's too. I think Linehan is sticking his neck out pretty far for his guy, and if he's forced into action and doesn't produce, I think it will cost both player and coach their jobs.

Linehan has a lot of pull with Garrett and Jones and he wants Moore to get his chance. The die has been cast here so it's time to move on.
Foles isn't coming to Dallas to be a backup when teams need starters. Moore is the backup this year, book it!

That's always the risk of playing and coaching in the NFL... NFL stands for Not For Long if you're wrong.
Coaches and players are risk takers, that's what they do!

What teams "need starters"?

I think Foles could compete nicely with RG3 in Cleveland, don't you?

No actually. Cleveland is letting quarterbacks go because they have too many already. Their head coach is going to see if he can revive Griffin's career and get out of his abilities what others couldn't. He's not going to be looking to add any more quarterbacks.

I'm not sure I agree with you but, I'm pretty sure Denver could use an experience QB for a year or two.
