HopingLike Fisher said he's well connected and he wouldn't just pull this out of a hat for no reason

With the Islamic invasion of Texas Jerry could sell a lot of JerseysNot to sound politcal here but with all the kneeling for the flag issues and Jerrys stance do you think he's going to sign a LB that likes to use his NFL platform to protest things:
from Google:
"Al-Shaair is a practicing Muslim and has been a vocal advocate for Palestinian rights. In January 2026, he drew national attention for wearing eye black with the message "STOP THE GENOCIDE" during a post-game interview after the Texans' playoff win over the Pittsburgh Steelers."
leave it to us to make the best decision on this trade!!If Brooks is going to cost a 3rd round pick, I would much rather have a pick swap than give up 92. Brooks & 30 for 20 seems to be similar value. Still need 4 picks close to the top 100. With all these high price talent, we need players to contribute on rookie deals.
Similar to “bust the budget” talk regarding free agency, the team likes to talk about trades that are never going to happen. The dolts that claim to be “insiders” dutifully report what they’re told. Cowboys create news. They don’t do anything new.If Brooks is going to cost a 3rd round pick, I would much rather have a pick swap than give up 92. Brooks & 30 for 20 seems to be similar value. The best this the best that….no other team does this. These are just myths Cowboy fans subscribe to. We need good players. Keep hoping and praying for a guy like Brooks who may not even be available. It’s fools gold. I don’t know how you guys keep buying this crap. No, they should get the best linebacker, not a linebacker. Jordyn Brooks is much better than any linebacker that was or is available in free agency and it certainly isn't stupid to get him.

because we're vulnerable, Harris made one statement, and it shook the entire fanbase on fire for hours!!!!!!The best this the best that….no other team does this. I wasn’t a fan of any of these fa linebackers either. It is a strong class this year at a position that usually translates right away. However, if you can land a player like Brooks it will allow you to address other positions higher in the draft. In my opinion, still makes sense to add another linebacker to help with depth as it is awfully thinBrooks wasn’t a free agent.
None of the FA LB’s are in Brooks category (IMO). I wouldn’t have spent big money for Dean, Lloyd, or Walker. I think they are getting paid more than they are worth, so I’m glad Dallas didn’t get in a bidding war with Las Vegas.
The only one of those 3 that I liked was Dean and He’s been hurt every year going back to his college career.
Brooks, on the other hand, is worth bigger money. He is a complete off-ball LB (with the physical and mental ability that Parker wants) and he would be exactly what Dallas needs. I’d gladly give up a 3rd for him, although I’d rather it be next year’s 3rd. Miami has so many picks this season already, they might would rather a pick next year in a draft that is laden with QB’s.
Speaking for myself, I’d trade for Brooks and hopefully come out of round 1 with an edge and a CB. That would give the Cowboys a real good chance of having a more than competitive defense this season.
In a defense that (IMO) will show a lot of improvement solely because of schematic/coaching changes, the players Dallas get in this scenario could make a very big difference this season.
With a first round where Dallas ends up with someone like Mansoor Delane and Cashius Howell (for instance), would make for a significant offseason of improving the defense.
Safeties:
Jalen Thompson
PJ Locke
CB’s:
Cobie Durant
Mansoor Delane
LB’s:
Jordyn Brooks
Edge:
Rashan Gary
Cashius Howell
DT/DE:
Otito Ogbonnia
That would be a really nice offseason of work on the defense. Particularly since I think the biggest improvement will come from the new coaches and the excellent scheme… but that would be a huge jump in personnel as well.
Just my two cents on the matter.
Actually that's what you call a hard nosed football player at linebacker that's what you need And I'm not sure about all the boneheaded plays but we'd like that Ray Lewis type attitude He's the better player Al Shaheer is the better player.. They're doing this and they've been doing this behind the scenes since they didn't get Dean or Crosby they're also looking for pass rushers The Giants wanted too much for Thibodeaux..I'd take Brooks.
Al-Shaair is a talent but he's one of the dirtiest players in the league and commits boneheaded penalties. Pass.
If they go WR with 11, there should be an investigation into GM malpractice...They just dumped their WR1 and WR2, why do this just to draft WR1 at 11 in a strong draft for WR's where there is no franchise type one sitting there? If they want a WR1, they can trade for one in a Brooks deal....there's a guy on the Iggles who would love South BeachTolbert is currently their top receiver.
Miami is in a complete rear down. They will be an interesting story for a couple of years. Brooks would be a great get for Dallas and it likely would only cost a fourth round pick. He’ll have to be signed or the Cowboys will be in a tag situation after this season. This trade is doable and he isn’t a $30 million per season player.I feel like a 3rd for a 28 year old all pro LB is a bargain.
I understand we have to extend him, but look at the typical 3rd round pick and you'd be hard pressed to have them live up to his level of play.
Even if we have trouble extending we can still franchise and have him a minimum of two seasons.
Hes an awesome player at an extreme position of need. We are instantly a better team. To hell with a third and waiting to develop and so on.
Ironically a lot of those preaching value and acting as if a third is too much probably also believe we didnt get enough for Osa.
oh man forgot about that. aren’t they building some mecha city inside of another town there. With the Islamic invasion of Texas Jerry could sell a lot of Jerseys
You do know that we have zero chance to snag him, don't you? If/when he is officially on the market, there will be a ton of suitorsMiami is in a complete rear down. Very disappointing if he is traded to another team.
Not zero, but, as usual, not good. You do know that we have zero chance to snag him, don't you? If/when he is officially on the market, there will be a ton of suitors
*I’m sorry for the length.I feel we as fans get caught up in money….no other team cares about overpaying in free agency. I think it’s a necessary evil. Especially when you are in win now mode.
This team should’ve got a linebacker and overspent to do it. Now we are desperate and about to do something stupid.
Yeah, that’s pretty much how I felt as well, right or wrong.I wasn’t a fan of any of these fa linebackers either. It is a strong class this year at a position that usually translates right away.
