Unless the deal is fully guaranteed, AAV is just a number which cap hits can be adjusted at will. The cap is going to rise dramatically in 2024, unless we get another finanical institution failure and the economy dies and people stop going to games. Teams know this and so do agents.

I have accepted that the team I love doesnt care about me, the fan base, nor winning a championship.

It's not an overpay.

That's the market for an elite level DT which Hargrave is.

Fair enough, but I’m not unhappy they didn’t do this exact deal.

Not even as if SF was weak in the middle. Did it anyway.

Maybe it works out, but they at least realize that the window is currently open and won’t be that way forever. Must be nice to have people running your team that understand that.
