You know, its funny, because I remember him doing that and thinking that it was already starting. Small thing but a "thing" nonetheless

I thought the same thing(Andy kind of chuckled and brushed it off)
and how about the practice shorts, TO wanted to wear just spandex with NO shorts and Andy was adamant about it
:laugh1:

Although, I was really hoping TO reached his TD incentive, to see Reid in spandex.:laugh1:

All that Jerry Jones wants is a team going deep into the playoffs & winning SB either in 06 or 07. No way Jones brings TO unless Parcells totally on board & has agreed to it, but I doubt Parcells wants add any aggravation which TO brings.

I Feel the same way; perhaps for slightly different reasons.

With any team that TO plays for, he'll play with a viciousness when he plays the Eagles (despite the fact that it could work against him).

However, the minute KeShawn Johnson, or Terry Glenn starts getting more catches/attention, it'll go bad for Bledsoe. I could hear TO saying something like ..."McNabb threw more passes to me than Bledsoe ...!"
That's because TO is open on every play and TO should get the ball when TO is open.

Talon I bet you were squaking as loud as anyone when you heard the news about TO to Philty. Obviously your mirroring your OWN frustration with this post...nice try....

I was probably shouting the loudest when I realized that TO was coming to Philly -- why should I deny that! But even a blind man (metaphorically speaking of course) could see that TO was a wolf in Eagle wings! He's a talent in the NFL; but he's also a loose cannon! I'm not trying to mirror anything by saying I wouldn't wish TO on my worst enemy, but I wouldn't!

Here's a list of people that TO has touched negatively ...

Eagle Fans (Si ...including PT)

Eagle Team Players (McNabb, Hugh Douglas, etc)

Eagle Coaches (Andy Reid, the offensive coach)

Eagle Management (Jeffrey Lurie, Chairman/Chief Executive Officer; Joe Banner, President/Chief Operating Officer, etc)

SF 49ER fans

SF 49er Team, players and coaches

SF 49er QB (Jeff Garcia)

Etc, etc ...so you see, it's not just me.

We killed you!!!
In 2005 ...

In 2006 ...you won't be playing the 2nd team Eagles! You'll be playing the "Nest of Death.";)

Wait! All of a sudden, there's no TO supporters. I Know I read some serious advocacy for the talented WR ..and it wasn't that long ago. Are they in hidding -- where didi they all go?

He has had a bad attititude, but he is a top two wide reciever in the league. Not everything was TOs fault in Philly. The organization has a bad habbit of getting rid of veteran players. TO would have been cut this year even if he was a model citizens, and he knew it. Philly could have ended his antics by giving him more guaranteed bonus money. They didn't. Hgh Douglas, Jeremiah Trotter, Troy Vincent, and Bobby Taylor are just a few veterans that were cut before their bonuses were due.

And he could have also lived up to the contract he was told not to sign by the union and his agent.

He would have been cut this year anyway. His contract was really just a 2 year deal.

He should have just shut his mouth and played then he would have either gotten a new contract or what he really wanted....to be a free agent.

Anyone who wants him here really needs to think about where they're true alligiances lie.

Better tell the owner he doesn't have the best interests of the team at heart.

Owens has "wrecked" two houses that had lots of dirty laundry they are already covering up. Neither franchise was as mature or well led as they or the media thought they were.

Owen is guilty of being a loudmouth who thinks too much of himself, and thus he's been an awfully convenient scapegoat for both the 49ers and Eagles. He also gives a lot of "character police" out there a chance to stand on their soap boxes and preach about "team" blah, blah, blah.

Look at what Owens really did at each step. Is he the first player to hold out for more money? We all know the Eagles undercut Owens when they signed him. Yes they had every right to do so, but should they have done so to someone who meant so much to their team last year? There's a fine line between "shrewd" and "miserly" and the Eagles crossed it.

I think Owens will be great for whatever team he lands with. I really do, unless that team is crumbling under the covers like San Fran and Philly were.

Terrell Owens might be a good gamble here in Dallas. Drew Bledsoe, Keyshawn Johnson,Terry Glenn, Marco Rivera, and Larry Allen are not getting any younger. I think BP has been bringing in way too many veterans instead of grooming younger players. If Terrell Owens becomes a distraction in 2 years so what. Most of our offensive players will be on the verge of retiring anyway. Dallas has way to many older veterans at the skill position, and if they don't win a superbowl bringing them in would have been a waste.

I dont believe he would have gotten ANY more money. It was a fat deal and the Eagles IMO were not going to give any more. Regardless of ANYTHING.

It's an accurate description. Picture a nest of little eaglets, coughing, wheezing, slowly dying....pretty accurate picture of the Iggles organization.:)

Realize that I know a little bit about the Eagles as I disagree with you. First, I want you to understand that I'm not arguing the point just for the sake of arguing -- I hate when fans do that on any MB.

Hugh Douglas, Jeremiah Trotter, Troy Vincent, and Bobby Taylor are just a few veterans that were cut before their bonuses were due.

There may be a strong correlation/coincidence that those players you cited were cut prior to their bonus money (for now, I'll take your word for that detail); however, Hugh Dougas competed for and was beat out of his posisiton in 2005 (yet the Eagles kept him on their books); Trotter was sent to the Skins and was ineffective -- yet hte Eagles broiugh him back, groomed him into a Probowler; Troy abd Bobby just weren't getting it done -- they needed to be released; even now, they have been ineffective with their new teams.

I'll have to respectfully disagree with that comment. Hugh Douglas was ineffective as a Commander because they had chemistry problems. He was not regroomed into a prowbowler, he was already one to begin with. As for Douglas, Troy, and Bobby your right. The point I was trying to make is that Eagles do not hold on to aging veterams and overpay them. TO was going to be a goner when that signing bonus was due.
