I'm guessing Peter King just happens to think the Cowboys are a bad team and isn't simply looking for traffic.

We've heard this game is played on the field nonsense for 20 years to dismiss the analysts who talk about how flawed the Cowboys are. They've been right every year. They're right this year too. It's just the reality of the situation. I want them to be wrong, but they're right. They've got a subpar roster with a coaching staff that is micromanaged by the owner. They have no chance to win anything until that changes.

Any given Sunday! and Go Cowboys!! and all that but we'll be right back to where we were last January this January.

I was gonna say that the media has written Dallas off since the team tanked with Wade. Sucks they've been right.

Personally, I'm loving the no respect thing going on right now in the season previews.

Peter King has teams the Cowboys swept last year rated ahead of them.

The Skins were 3-13 last year right? But a new coach and the second overall pick....oh, wait. The Rams say thanks. And they're going to be better than Dallas.

The Giants drafted a receiver. So they're going to be better than Dallas.

The Jags? Come on.

Cowboys are a bottom 5 team? Love it.

You may be right but one thing they always get right about the cowboys is the playoffs.

I love that all the talking heads are dissing the Cowboys. More motivation for the coaches and players. Every year I'm excited and optimistic going into the season and this year is no different. I understand that the difference between winning and losing in the NFL is not that big and a team that gives their all, plays as a team and gets a few breaks can make the playoffs and do some damage. The "process" should start yielding results.

If they need motivation from media "dissing" them then we are in trouble. It just boggles my mind that many in this thread think there is a media conspiracy against the Cowboys.

I really don't care what PK predicts or says anymore, about any team. He is just a talking head to me, but he has a job to do. Rather we agree, disagree, or are indifferent.

IIRC, PK never was too up or too down on the Cowboys, maybe just a little on the less positive side.
Then when his good friend Bill Parcells was hired, he was saying very good things about the Cowboys.
Then when Parcells quit on the team, PK them seemed to hate on anything and everything Cowboys.

Just my observation and opinion. So I take anything he says or writes, as...well, he's at it again, rather right or wrong.

Back on topic, I agree with King. Dallas could very well be the worst team in the division. I believe they have worst defense and they refuse to commit to the run. The coaching staff is undermined by the Owner and the Head Coach (owners own words) is still in training.

I agree we may still have the worst team in the division. In fact I worry we may have one of the worse defenses in the league again. I don't think so but the above could happen.

I think we need to run effectively esp in short yardage situations and the GL.

The last sentence is a bit much for me although there is some truth in it.

Got a whole preseason to go before I would make any judgements about any team.

I think Dallas D will be improved....as long as there aren't any more significant injuries going forward. Losing Lee hopefully is the last stud that we have to replace.

I think the DL overall will be improved....not necessarily individually but overall as a group. We made our starters play way too many minutes last year because there was such a steep dropoff in quality. I think that is less of an issue this year. I think we will have more guys rotating, so they will be fresher and will be able to go 100% every down they play. That will be huge. Having Hayden among the leaders in snaps just ain't gonna cut it.
