I'll tell you one thing. Dak might get his job back when healthy, but patience is gonna be real thin when he struggles. He'll find out life was a lot easier when nobody realized there was an alternative.

Rush only gets paid 800,000 for the season. Dak? $42, MILLION!!! Think about that for a second! Is Dak 42 times better? Really?

that is another reason to make him the # 1 qb. They would have a cheap qb, and could spend say 35 million on other players.
I would extend cooper now for say4 4 years at 5 mil a year, he might take that deal.

If he wins the next 2 games against tough teams, he may decide to play elsewhere next season, and he will be a free agent at end of this season.
I think some other teams will be interested in him as a starter,at a cheaper than normal price.

He is essentially auditioning for other teams right now, as jerry will go with dak as soon as dak is ruled ok to start.

Be funny if he went to another team and did good as a # 1 qb.

- This offense may likely have been scaled back and simplified for Rush that is not asking him to play beyond his physical limitations.
Scheme the offense for what he does best, and limit and scale down what he does Not do …

- The offense does not run as quickly as it does with Dak.

You’re gonna have certain particular plays and spots where Rush can try “ floating “ the ball to receivers downfield, but you don’t want him risking doing that
throughout the game,

- Prescott is more elusive, athletic and can adlib and create more on the move whether eluding rushers, scrambling and buying time, or throwing on the move ,
or taking or running the ball up field

- Dak has more escape ability and mobility than Rush

- Dak has a much better arm strength and velocity than Rush

Everyone loves the backup QB.
Anyone remember when Troy Aikman was injured, and Steve Beuerlein got on a roll, winning games and getting us to the playoffs? There was a major controversy, not just among fans, but also in the media. Should the Cowboys go back to Aikman who had struggled or stick with Beuerlein in the playoffs? Jimmy Johnson made the right decision.

I think it's way too soon to say how good or bad Cooper is. That being said from what I've seen he does seem to be fairly accurate with his passes he looks calm in the pocket and makes quick decisions. I hope he continues to improve.

Nobody is overreacting about Rush’s level of play. I think the fans and team expected to lose all of the remaining games until Dak returned. After seeing Rush win games, the fans are giddy with excitement. Finally the fans had a pleasant surprise at the QB. Fans are not used to it:
