No London game for Cowboys next year

Fans in Europe will travel hundreds of miles and through International borders to watch a NFL game involving teams they don't support. Shows the commitment of these fans and their love of the sport. As bad as these teams are, all these games will be way over subscribed. How many US fans would do the same?

This makes a ton more sense for the NFL than the London games.

I'd strongly consider going down for this.

Edit: Looks like reports are that the Raiders and Patriots will play in Mexico next year.

this is the type of thing you do during pre-season.... to ask 2 teams to fly out of the country of their domestic league for a regular season game is ******* stupid, and like everything else, is done only for the money.

It really sucks for the team that loses a home game on their schedule. At least when the Cowboys went there in 2014, it counted as one of their 8 road games.

Much better than traveling multiple time zones for our guys. I guess if they must, this is the best scenario. Plus, there's a ton of Cowboys fans in Mexico.

If we're "picking our poison," I'm taking the Mexico City game all day.

Let the Brits have their Jaguars. (So random they love that team, but I suppose that's natural considering they get those games every year, Lol)

can you imagine the Premier League or La Liga holding a regular season Liverpool vs Man U or Barcelona vs Real match in New York? I can't either (or Sunderland vs Hull City for that matter)

who said anything about "not being able to travel"... the point of the matter is that it's ******* ridiculous to hold a regular season game outside of the country of the domestic league. it's advertising your league during the regular season at the expense of your own fans. dumb. stupid.

Actually, I can. The viewership in this country is big enough for the Premier League or La Liga to have 1 or two regular season games here. It would be an easy sell out. Almost surprised they haven't done it yet.

teams from those leagues have out-of-country pre-season tours all the time, though... would they really get so greedy and ridiculous that they would creep that into the regular season as well? I just can't see the fans ever standing for that. Pre-season is when you market your league, not during it... jeezus.

La Liga, maybe, but England is a whole 'nother animal....

the owner of Hull City was wanting to change the name of their club to Hull Tigers, and virtually every Hull fan on the planet voiced their opposition enough to where he backed off

the owners of Liverpool wanted to increase ticket prices slightly after renovating the stadium recently, and fan protests shut it down to where the owners even came out and apologized...

imagine the response to moving regular season games half way across the globe

oh well, who knows.

Fans hate these games but I wonder if the players wouldn't mind a trip to London. Especially with the bye week that follows. You can spend some time there.

Yes, Steelers have played Vikings in London. Rooney is one of the biggest advocates of overseas games.

all of the above are inherently international tournaments.... quite different to what we're talking about.

So just like Thursday games it seems like everyone gets a turn eventually and we should embrace it.

I'll never understand why everything the NFL does gets crapped on. More primetime games. More jerseys to buy. More coverage. People seem to hate to have options
