And here's YOUR sign...

You do know that every player on the 80 man roster reported to camp at or below his assigned weight, don't you??

You're not impressed?? Aw gee, and here we're all SOOOO impressed with your Chicken Little impersonation... you're really good at it, I can almost see your tail feathers quivering...

Let me say it again. it's not about this one pre-season game. it's about seeing some of the same crap that got us beat in the playoffs last year. i want these problems fixed now before the real games start.

Or what?? You gonna hold your breath until you turn blue in the face??

Or maybe you'll lie on the floor and beat your fists into the carpet??

Once again, my theory is proven-- you can tell the posters whose posts aren't worth wasting time on, by their overreaction to the first preseason game of the season... you prove by such hilarious temper tantrums that you really don't have the first clue what preseason is supposed to be about...

Congratulations on making a fool of yourself... you must be SOOOO proud...

And it's not because we lost a pre-season game tonight. it's because i see some of the same problems we had last year.bad special teams, and way to many PI calls for hugh chunks of yards. let's just hold off on the Super Bowl talk.i will say that F.Jones, choice and Austin looked good tonight. so there is some hope.

Good thread idea:bang2:

Well that about sums it up, have your stuff packed and be outta here in 10 minutes.

People can stop talking about it but it does not change the fact of the high expectations that have been placed on the team. I could care less about what took place sat and it really has no bearing on what this team may do in the reg season. There were some guys on special teams who frankly will not make the team. Pre-season is all about individuals not about team.

You don't base the entire season on the first preseason game, or any preseason game, for that matter. Did you know that the Indianapolis Colts have had one of the worst preseason records in the NFL the past 5 seasons? I'm not possitive, but I think they've done alright for themselves during that span of time. The first team offense was in the game for ONE series. They got the ball, marched down and scored a TD. Not bad. The first team defense stopped the Chargers' first team offense 3 & out the first series. If it hadn't have been for an interference penalty on 3rd & long, they would have stopped them both times both first teams faced off.

Do you really think we're going to see any of those players we saw Sat. returning kicks in the regular season? We have the Jones' boys to handle the bulk of those duties. You don't have one of the best college return men, and one of the best PR in the NFL his first two yrs. in the league, and sit them once the games count.

The first preseason game is to evaluate what you have in your young players, many of whom are on the bubble. You see if maybe they have a skill you haven't picked up on yet, etc. Yes, we're a long way for where we want to be on ST coverage, but they are made up of mostly very young players who are going to get better with each practice & preseason game.

Why not look at all the positive things that happened instead of acting like one game in the preseason encapulates our whole season?

Many times we disagree (politics), but this was funny.

You say it's not because we lost a preseason game but then you base your opinion on the game?

My reaction to tonight's game was "oh well."

Exactly. Oh well.

It was the first preseason game and as much as there were things that bothered me there were plenty of things that made me very happy with what I saw.

The first team Offense and defense looked pretty darn good. Felix, Choice, and Austin all looked good.

I'm not worried about one preseason game.

You do realize that what we talk about on this forum has NO EFFECT on the actual outcome of the games, you do realize that dont you?

We as fans can talk about anything in the world, drink the coolaid and think were the greatest or be chicken little and predict 1-15 season. Us fans have no control over the outcome of the game, we are strictly spectators.

So telling people to stop talking about going to the SB and that we have to win a playoff game first before we can talk about the SB is being irrational.

You do understand this, right?

Only a troll speaks this way!

He could be a chicken little or an idiot fan who believes premature SB talk by fans really affects the team.
But my guess is he's a Commander troll. Looking for a loss like this to create doubt and fear among Cowboy fans.

BTW- Here's my take on the game.

Tremendous game. Fantastic overall outcome. 90% Positive on the specific things that actually matter.

The GOOD that matters:
No injuries! Did we all forget the #1 objective for any contending team...GET OUT OF THE GAME WITHOUT INJURIES.

First team offense looked great and scored a TD with ease. Romo was sharp and the ball didn't hit the ground.
Anyone remember how much trouble we had scoring early last year?

First team defense held SD to a 3 and out on it's first two possessions. And looked dominant doing it.

The BAD that matters:
Brad Johnson is poor. Barely NFL caliber. We must find a way to upgrade here.

Punt coverage was as bad as I've seen. This must also improve.

Adam Jones was just OK. Can't really say bad because he displayed the athletic ability we're looking for. But I expect much more than that. I'm chalking this up to first game jitters and a little rust.
