Brad Johnson is the type of guy who can go in and win you a few games if you need it. This guy is a bus driver.

I remember when Quincy Carter was the "bus driver". Yuck. I hate that term, by the way--it reminds me so much of Parcells.

Yes they are not going on 40...but then again they were never as good as Brad in the first place.

Stronger arms maybe, but that would be about it.

I liked Brad Johnson...about 10 years ago during his first stint with the Vikes. However if he can't throw the ball anymore, then why the heck would we want him? A good head on his shoulders, but unable to throw the ball 20 yards???? Sounds like just the guy we want. LOL.

Our opponents will be scared to death of the deep ball. LOL. Dink and dunk, that's all there will be.....a disaster.

You and philo certainly take exaggeration to a whole new level. How the heck did a guy who couldn't throw 20 yards last season amass over 2,700 yards passing?

Johnson could have his arm in a sling and probably still be better in decision making than those guys.

But like I said...I would be ok of any of the three.

The whole thing to me is we are talking about Backup QBs and if Romo goes down we would be hurting anyways.

If we would have been smart enough to use more short passes to Owens...instead of having him go deep most of the second half of the season we would have been better off.

Part of Owens great ability is to take a short pass and get those YAC.

I got tired in the second half of the season seeing him just going long along the sidelines.

I think that most get the point that you (and philo) are looking for the team to sign someone who will come in and unseat Romo. That's not going to happen. Realistically, the team will attempt to find someone who will, instead, backup Romo. Someone who has the ability to step in, and in a very short time of acclimating himself with our offensive gamebook, will be a surer option of directing the offense in Romo's absence if the need arises. While Ramsey and Harrington have more athletic ability, neither has been able to demonstrate the capacity of playing the role of a capable backup. On the other hand, Johnson has.

I don't want Romo unseated, I want him to succeed big time. What I do want is a legit #2 to bring competition and give us a freaking chance in case Romo suffers a major injury. I've NEVER been anti-Romo, where did you come up with that!
