No Room for Bennett (hard knocks) *Merge*

I think it's hilarious that he's smiling and happy go lucky on the sidelines, and then as soon as he goes in front of the reporters and the microphones he turns it on with the "I played like @#$@#!!!' speech like he's so hard on himself. What a con artist.

Whiten needs to mind his own business and do his job. let the coaches handle this kid.i never wanted to draft this guy or any TE this high. not with a 2nd round pick.so if you are going to blame anyone, blame Jerry and Wade for drafting this guy in the first place.

...and back on ignore you go...

Reminds me of a college athlete that would have rather been drafted in MLB or NBA and went with football because it was his better bet to get paid.

Bennett does need to get his act together, But is sure hope this myth that Fasano was a good player doesn't start again. Plain and simple Fasano sucks and im sure Bennett isn't the first or last player to come to the League with that type of attitude. Im not sure if the kid will make it in this League, but that doesn't mean we should all of a sudden think Fasano was good. To be honest he was a Bust just like Carpenter is a bust. That just wasn't a very good draft.

blame wade or jerry

who's blaming anyone? I highly doubt when the guy is doing interviews during the combine process that he acted like that.

Wrong.

The Cowboys already knew about his work ethic befor drafting him. They knew he had to be pushed into getting him to work. Obviously, he hasn't changed up to now. Let's hope he does.

I fear this organization losing its blue collar work ethic and needless to say this guy is the epitomy of lazy, or so it appears so far.

They can say what they want about fasano but I dont ever remember him being called anything but a hard worker who fit right in.

I just am troubled from the lack of respect he showed John Garrett. That worries me. That type of thing can creep up on a team and eat it from the inside out.

Witten has been the leader of the TE group for several years now. When we drafted Fasano, it was Witten who took him and the rest of the younger TEs out to dinner and got them sort of indoctrinated toward the team. Calling out guys who are screwing up is part of what a LEADER does. As for him doing his job...just who the hell does his job better than Witten?

Fasano may have never been a superstar, but I bet he proves this year in Miami he was more than capable of being a solid #2 TE .. and one that wouldn't have disrespected his coaches and his teammates.

I will say this, John Garrett will make him or break him. He stays on his butt as well as he should. I really believe one of the vets will step in and make him understand the privilege he has right now and he needs to take advantage of it. And thanks Ebbs he didn't smiled he laughed into the camera.

I hope Garrett keeps riding him.

Hopefully we will see some improvement by the last episode.

The whole show I had to keep reminding myself he is just a rookie.

I'd be willing to bet that Fasano would have at least put his helmet on when his coach asked him to. This show is awesome.

And whats wrong about it, What did Fasano do, lol..... in two years 260 yards and 1 TD. For a second round pick if thats not a bust i don't know what is.

I really think a vet will make en example out of him before that happens. And to think here is Majic and Jerry giving you personal attention and you still practice like that. I really don't like this kids attitude.

Sounds like someone is looking for an excuse to hate Bennett.

He was a backup. Stats aren't going to provide any proof either way, but his sheer number of snaps with the offense provides far more insight into his worth than you saying 'he sucks'. Nice analysis.

He might not have been worth a second, but he certainly did not suck.

nah, I was stoked when we took him just because of his size/speed...but this series, through 2 episodes is quickly changing my mind.

The helmet thing bothered me the most. It reminded me of my 6yr old when I tell him to do something. He'll do it but he'll take as loooooog as he can to do it. Bennett never actully put it on until it was time to go back to the field. He played around with the chin strap and such until it was time to go back to the field.

well that was fast.

But I will admit him laughing at john garret when he walked away after stressing how important the days practice was says alot and really is a troubling thing.

I really hope they didnt totally blow it by just sending fasano down the river.

Me either because regardless of what people thought about Fasano he was a good, solid, hard working tight end.

I just hope Fasano doesnt explode eventually and Bennett is a guy who never scratches the surface.

Hes a professional athlete. Act like it.
