I'm curious what, if anything, France gave on.. not surprising but wow, no trade, no tag, fully guaranteed, worst playoff record in history.

Or...continue following the team and criticizing his play until he plays well enough to win more than a WC game...that's an option too.
You’re one of those that puts it all entirely on him. We don’t have a QB problem we have a “team” problem.

I'll never betray you because I feel sorry for the ones that think others that have an opinion are the "word" that you and a few other use. Can you guess what the "word" is? I know you want to say it.

I’m enjoying these meltdowns a lot.

We have had both. When your piece of the pie is that big, you can't be part of the problem.

So what was the stand off over again?

LOL, Jerry gave him the highest AAV, Top 5 guaranteed money, there is a no trade clause, etc.

Did Jerry win anything in this negotiation? I figured Jerry would sign him but why it took so long is kind of funny considering the reported parameters of the contract.

Who knows. I’m sure both sides played a role in the delay though.

Any team that wants to keep their franchise QB is going to have to fork over a big piece of the pie. That’s just how it is today if you want to have a chance.

Yep, doesn't change a thing about what I said.

Sure he would. Lots of QBs that have come up small in the playoffs get extended or signed to big contracts. He has been part of the problem in our playoff losses. Willfully blind if you can't admit that, but do you.
QBs don’t get huge contract extensions if they’re part of the problem. It takes a solid team to win a championship. Dan Marino was 8-10 in the playoffs. Warren Moon was 3-7 and Dan Fouts was 3-4. All were first ballot Hall of Famers and none of them won a Super Bowl. Only Marino reached a Super Bowl. There’s been some very average QBs win Super Bowls because they had great teams around them. Dude it takes a TEAM. If you throw everything on your QB in postseason, they’re going to fail and you will lose. The Cowboys haven’t won a single championship where their QB had to carry them.

Yeah, you're right, Dak looked great out there the past 3 years. A+ stuff.

Good point, but there was no salary cap in those days. The issue is the salary cap and not all about Dak.

Three straight 12-5 seasons with three straight playoff appearances for the first time since our last Super Bowl win. When we play well as a team, he plays well. There’s been a lot of terrific QBs struggle in the playoffs because it all gets thrown on them. If Dak was the reason we were faltering in the playoffs I would have been done with him in a heartbeat. He’s plenty good enough for us to win a championship, but the team around him, especially the defense gets manhandled in the playoffs.

Our offense was sputtering in the second half yesterday, but our defense played real well. Had it not played real well, the game would’ve been thrown on Dak and he probably would’ve had a bad day and we would’ve lost. If the Cowboys play well as a team, especially defensively we can go along way with Dak and there’s no doubt in my mind about that. I saw how Troy Aikman looked his first couple of years when he didn’t have help and I saw how he looked the final few years of his career when the team wasn’t as good.
