I tend to think the Cowboys had no sense of urgency in signing both Dak and Lamb because they had no desire to create cap room to sign FAs given their aversion to signing anyone of true value in FA.

They love to cry cap poor as their justification for not being active in FA so signing Lamb and Dak would have created way too much cap space for them to pretend they couldnt' afford outside FAs.
With Jerry, anything’s a possibility. He’s gotten worse with age as far as meddling is concerned and he started out at a high level.

It's not a blow to the haters, it's a blow to anyone hoping for playoff success. Jerry just signed that away..... again.
If yesterday shows anything it’s that it’s going to absolutely have to be lead by the defense. And then require the stars aligning and a whole bunch of luck. Watson is trash. Playoff QBs won’t gift wrap short fields on repeat and will step on our throats if we settle for FG after FG. Zero killer instinct yesterday.

Aikman would have hit a fan in the head with his participation trophy and dropped 60+ on that team and been pissed it wasn’t 70.

Didn’t read through 10 pages of posts….so apologies if posted already.

-May as well give the guy a NTC. You don’t sign him with the idea of trading him. If it becomes time for each to move on, you deal with that later. No tag is fair. They did that to him twice. He was holding all the cards. Yes, he was. He would have had at least 4-6 suitors in FA, while the team didn’t have a single suitable replacement.

-For some perspective, take a look at the NYG. They spent a top 10 pick on Daniel Jones, and are paying him 40 million per. The guy flat out can’t play. Next year they will be starting over yet again, and that may or may not work out.

Honestly, it’s a WAY better bet that Dak figures it out in January than getting on that train ride that could last a LOT longer than one might think.

If you let Dak walk the only logical direction is a full rebuild. Do any of you really think the rest of this roster is at that point? They aren’t.

I’ve never been a big Dak fan or supporter, and I’m pissed at him as well for some past performances, but this situation is the better of two less than ideal scenarios.
Another fan who puts ALL the blame one 1 person. Not all 53, not the coaching staff, not Jerry’s influence but all on 1 person. You’re like diehard, you try to play both sides thinking the rest of us are stupid.

The highest paid player in league history will get majority of the blame and rightfully so.

100%. And don’t forget Stevie clown’s favorite “we have a few big contracts coming up so we need to save that extra to roll it into next year.”

The only risks they take are the ones they are forced to: Drafting. If Jerry could somehow accumulate players in a dealer fashion or random assignment versus draft he’d be all in.

Only by the haters. Those who are more objective realize it’s a team game. It takes an organization, and some luck. Dak’s more than capable of winning multiple Super Bowls with a solid defense that can stop the run, and a balanced offense. Just ask Tom Brady. I think I’ll believe him over the likes of you.

I'll take Jimmy's opinion over Tom which you are paying good players elite money because you have no choice. Dak is good, not great and certainly not elite. Every season I'm proven right time and time again.

Yeah. I’ve lost a lot of interest in football recently. Twenty nine years of failure with stupid management in some form or another. When one thing improves, the head honcho in charge doubles down and does something stupid to offset it. The only way this team will ever win a SB is if the stars align and one lucky thing happens after another. Otherwise, it’ll be the same thing for five more years.

How about we take a bet @Rockport

If Dak (runner up to the league mvp last year) leads us to the NFCCG this year, dont even have to win it, just get us there, ill leave the forum

BUT

If Dak falters yet again in the divisional round, you leave

Deal?

Jimmy didn’t say anything about whether he can lead a team to the SB other than it’s the expectations. You haters are just blind.

There's no way he takes that deal. Rocky knows what the team really has with Dak, and knows how the season will most likely end. But the highlight of his existence is arguing with and insulting others, and not for any real reason. Why would he leave and give up his only reason for living?

Because denying this bet means he would have to admit he is wrong, which he cannot allow LOL.

What I find crazy about Rock is that he claims to live in Hawaii....... why the hell would he waste his time insulting people here if he lives in a place like that?
