No way we Lose with Romo

If he's not better than Romo then the team made a mistake. Jones has been hedging on this for weeks. He's seen the practices, heard about Romo dropping dimes with the scout team, experienced playoff football...but he was dismissed. Too much hype and hysteria.
I hear and would have loved to see Romo guide this team but no way could you ruin the chemistry with Dak and his team.

Stupid logic. Truth be told, Rogers threw 2 picks to Heath, the second coming on that uncatchable ball penalty crap.

Eh, it was uncatchable because of the penalty. It still may have been picked if there was no penalty (which there was one - just not PI).

We lost it because the Defense decided to start the game 1 1/2 hours after starting time. Not on Dak.

Maybe. Maybe Not.

But what I am certain of is that many of those who are singing Dak's praises in this losing effort are the same ones who would have blamed the loss on Romo if he had played.
That's about the only thing in this thread that I feel certain about.
They would be talking about that redzone interception 10 years from now. lol

But Dak DID play well. They loaded the box and our receviers were running free a lot...and Dez mostly had single coverage.
He capitalized on what was there. Plus he had two nice 1st downs off of runs.
Nice job overall.

Could Tony have done better in a shootout situation? We'll never know.

I'll buy all you Dak haters new Romo jerseys if you guys follow him to his new team and give up your account on CZ.

You guys make visiting this site unbearable.

Ya...stupid lol. Turnovers MIGHT cost points...red zone turnovers DO cost points.

So skip the conjecture.

Dak cost a minimum of 3 points, Aaron's cost 0.
You're comparing a rookie in his first playoff game to a seasoned veteran known as God. Is this a clown show or what?

And didn't we score after the Rogers interception?

I must have missed the part of the game where Dak was playing defense....

Ahh well, one good thing about this game is that it makes it easier to find people to populate my ignore list.

I'm a big Romo supporter, but Dak played well enough to get the win. When the offense scores 31 points the defense has to do their job.

This. And I love Romo too. But he's a gunslinger, its very likely that, if we were in that hole, Romo would have started throwing here and there and more than likely he would have turned the ball over.

But its just an hipotesis, we know what happened, and Dak played great, more than that if you consider hes a rookie and he fell behind on the score and never gave up.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. It would've warmed my heart to see Romo lead us to a win in a big game against God himself, but we couldn't justifiably put him out there. If Dak is our QB going forward, he needed this valuable experience anyway.

Defense lost the game in the first half. Getting down 21-3 is hard to comeback from. I'm glad to see Dak step up and not fold and led the team to tie the Packers twice. Defense let us down again with 35 seconds left and allowed a 3 and 19 completion. Romo might have thrown more interceptions. You never know but that's his MO.
Defense indeed did not do us any favors, but we only had theee freaking points by the time they had 3 TDs. Dak played very well and certainly not his fault. On offense, it was untimely penalties and key drops, with a dash of horrible play calling.

That's exactly what is was on offense.

At QB, game was lost in the first quarter. Dak always starts of slow, I'm heartbroken the better QB was on the bench.

We all knew this was coming and I figured it would be by you who has Romo ranked 2nd only behind Tom Brady. lol We scored on our first possession and was heading for another score on our second possession until a 15 penalty killed the drive. The defense lost this game by giving up 3 TD's on the Packers first 3 possessions and they couldn't keep Rodgers from completing a 36 yard pass with 12 seconds to play in regulation with his two top receivers out. Had Romo been the QB it would have ended up worse than the Carolina game with him forcing throws down the field and having them picked off.

All anyone has to do is review Romo's history in critical games where the Cowboys got down by two TD's or more, he either melted down like he did vs Philly in the 2008 season finale or he couldn't get us back in the game like what happened against the Giants in the 2011 season finale. Dak finished Sundays game with more TD's and a better passer rating than Aaron Rodgers and had the game gone to OT and we won the toss, I believe he would have taken us down the field for the winning TD like he did against Philly in OT earlier in the season.

Well yeah, You'd have a 10yr starter falling behind 21-3 which would kill the narrative Romo = TDs. I don't see how you can compare the veteran Romo to the 4th rd rookie:huh:. The fact is the defense failed them and they better spend the entire off-season fixing it.
