Or is this playing the ball?

https://photos.google.com/album/AF1.../AF1QipNGo8D6i6D22uSlrbIX4z-2J-IHLXHZM7OJs8D2

This photo shows full contact is initiated. He is not turned. He is totally unaware of where the ball is, and has only become part of the play because of Dak's throw.

He is not playing football right now. He is just colliding and not making a football play. If that is acceptable football play there should never be another catch made in the history of the NFL in a contested ball situation. The defence should have right of first contact based on this play and the photo.

There is no opinion when contact is initiated before the ball is arrived, the defender is not looking at the ball and is striding through the offensive player.

It was PI call but it was also a typical off the mark "Dak Pass"....if he lead the WR this was a TD in-spite of the PI.....it's plays like this that either make you a Superbowl Champ or not....

The interference by the opposing player and the absurd non-call by the ref were the primary elements that destroyed that play, imho. I'm really far from convinced that Brown will be retained by the Cowboys when all is said and done at the end of the upcoming preseason. I doubt he has the receiving skills to be retained. Yes, his blocking is very good but that's just not enough to make him worthwhile as a legitimately capable receiver, imho.

That’s your opinion and that play is not called 95% of the time. The ball was thrown behind Brown and he was going back after it which contributed to the contact with the DB. They were both playing the ball. Sure, it could’ve been called but it was a good no call in my opinion.
You are allowed to play the ball but you can’t interfere with the receiver while he’s going for the ball.

That pass was under thrown, just as the pass to Olawale that everyone says he dropped. When in fact Dat needs to put more on it.
Hopefully this is where Kitna can change that and he improves upon it.
Hopefully the coaches continue to work on what improvements he can make, but it's beyond time that Dak needs to get it done without someone else getting the blame for why he hasn't progressed to correct this. I remember BP coaching Romo, but outside of that I don't ever remember coaches, or needing new coaches, to correct his passes. It was more like he developed or refined his ability to make certain passes, but never was there years of "coaches need to work on this" and it's getting old hearing about it with Dak.

correct, interference is only allowed when you're playing the ball. Intentional interference to directly prevent the WR from catching is not allowed.

It's a touchdown if he leads him. Ball should have been picked off if the defender is paying attention.

The ball was picked off.

Just more evidence that you are blind and don’t know what’s happening in the games.

Notice the location of the ball in the air when the LB hits Brown.

yes PI these days but that ball was underthrown, forced him to stop and come back that caused the PI to happen as the DB couldn't pull up..its why the PI can be reviewed now as really thats not PI as the DB stayed in his spot as the WR stopped and came back into him to make catch..the DB has the right to keep the space he already maintains and why PI is out of control..

Dak homers will say he's accurate since the WR had a chance to catch it but clearly Dak missed by not placing the ball in front of the receiver where there was no defender and ample room to run. Great example of Daks accuracy issues.

Poorly thrown ball doesn't negate the obvious pass interference...........................

That is not interference. The defender has the right to be where he is, which is where Dak threw the ball.

No, this is just proof you're a blind homer with no objective capability to critique the Cowboys. Stereotypical backwards Cowboys fan.

So saying it was a bad pass, while also interference, is being a blind homer?

I’m the blind one? You didn’t even know the pass was picked off. Like a complete fool. Again, talking out of your butt and showing a complete lack of ability to be objective about a play.

You’re now the poster who complains about passes that go for touchdowns and say “they should have been picked off”. Meanwhile going into other threads and saying a pass “should have been picked off” when the pass WAS actually picked off.

Yet anybody is supposed to take your opinion about a play seriously after that? LOL.

They were both playing the ball and because the pass was thrown behind Brown it forced him to turn back toward the ball initiating the contact with the defender. If we had the audio I’m sure the game announcers and the official the network used would have given the same reasons I did for the no call. Fans should be more troubled by the inaccurate throw by Dak than the no call. Had he thrown the ball accurately it would’ve been a touchdown.
