Philly is all that matters now! We need to win this game and get to 3-2 and stay in the division hunt. Our only chance is to take it to Philly on both sides of the ball.

Cover 2 and deep safety strategy sux. Lamont Jordan scoffed post game at our 2 deep strategy. He said they all knew at that point they were going to run it down our throats. And when they had to they did. Roy needs in the box and we need to get after McChunky – he’ll carve us up if we go with another conservative Cover 2 with safeties deep in passive Zone…..

Moss and Commanders have exposed our obvious weakness. We can’t handle deep plays where WR hit long seams or run crossing patterns. Our CB's s are releasing WR’s to safeties that can’t handle it. This needs fix or TO is going to go off. We need to man up Tnew and Henry on WR’s and put FS over the top of TO and take him out wherever he goes. Frustrate him and make someone else beat us. I’d also take a LB and mirror Westbrook wherever he goes. Then attack out of 3-4. We have to pressure McSoup and not sit back.

Left side of Line is a weakness – not this mystical strength…. Allen is whiffing and has limited mobility these days. Stop stacking TE’s and running Left. Its getting jammed play after play after play after play after play…..

Bledsoe – I’m not going to jump totally on the Bledsoe must throw more but yes we need to open it up more. Once we get in a bind he starts grinding out ridiculous deep passing yards. That’s his strength – accuracy on deep routes. We need to reduce the 3 drop plays some. They force a short route and pass – and if coverage is there puts Bledsoe at risk. I say drop him some 5 and 7 drop plays that vertically attack a defense. That will open it up for JJ and Witten underneath.

More Price please! More shotgun, less 2 TE and doomed and predictable runs. More 3 and 4 Wide sets that include Witten as 1 of the 3 or 4!

Somewhere right about now Eagles are planning to clock and attack us. If we roll out another rope a dope gameplan we are going to get knocked out. Somewhere I see Parcells fully understanding his screw up on this teams overall game mgmt.

Cornered Bill – he gets how big this game is. Can put us in the game or back in the pack fighting to be in playoff contention….

I think Parcels comes out swinging in this game. I can accept that moreso than another passive and defensive gameplan.

This game could be the defining moment for this team. I think Canty, Spears, Ware and Burnett HAVE TO TAKE LEADERSHIP OF THIS DEFENSE! I just don’t see any on the rest of the veterans – those veterans that have never stepped up in career here. Time to change the guard.

Predictions on Gameballs!

Julius Jones/Bledsoe
Spears/Roy

Agree on the switching to Man coverage. Newman or Henry with a safety up top would be better than letting TO move around and dictate the matchups to the Cowboys. Something I think Parcells has partially hinted at. Our defense needs to blitz McNabb and hurt him. Have dat shadow westbrook. hope lj smith stays covered. We will need to score a lot to win this game I think, at least 20+points.

Just reading this makes me even more angry that we don't throw down field more... We are gonna have to have safety help on TO, and we have to have a LB cover Westbrook everywhere he goes, another LB will be on LJS, that means that we really have no one to blitz with except Davis. And that means leaving Henry 1 on 1 with Lewis (which I'm OK with). But is Davis the one we really want to blitz with or do we send Roy and leave Newman 1 on 1 with TO if he lines up on that side. If we send our other two linebackers on a "blitz" then we are too vulnerable underneath especially for a QB scramble.

I don't see us posing the same type of issues for opposing defenses, even with all the weapons we have. We don't really use them all until the 4th quarter. That is sooo irritating.

Going deep against the eagles isnt easy. They are gonna be getting a lot of pressure on Bledsoe most of the night. Plus they have a pretty good secondary, so its not like we can just huck it down and score 40 points, it will be a tough game.

We've got to go deep early and often. I'm not all that impressed with their cb's, their safety is very good but we can beat their CB's if we test them.

ATTACK is where its at! all right Nors!

I agree on TO, I like Henry on him man on man...Bump & run, knowing he has deep over the top coverage that won't force him to gaurd him for 5-6 seconds with "zimmy's passive & predicable stuff" down to 3 seconds at the most and McChunky "creamed soup"

I will take single coverage with Newman & Glenn with Pile getting some PT in the deep area's...I see he has some playmaking ability...We know Davis is best used like Roy, attacking...Just like Berry-O next year...

Lets turn Pile loose along with Spears Fergy & Canty from the first play!
Its a new day is Dallas!

Ellis and Glover are much better suited to a nickle attack pkg. that they won't have to play the run as much...

But we need to attack the LOS every play or McChunk will kill us deep, I prefer our killing him!
He can be forced into making very poor throws...If we attack him its 3 picks 3 fumbles and 6 sacks overall...

Any word on Burnett's health anyone?
Thats who I want to replace Shanle in the nickle so we have a much better weapon to use!
He practiced there in the summer, time to use him! (I hope)

Not someone so slow he wasn't even close to getting ole man Brunell in the open field...Sorry, thats all I needed to see, I pass, I would rather have Killer Davis playing in the nickle then Shanle...I think it would work VERY well!

Ware needs to get inside & out from STUNTS don't let the offense know where he is coming until he does...If he is in coverage, then I want him ether looking like he is blitzing or smacking the crap out of TO or LJ within the 5 yard rule...Not some passive wussy ball touch him as he goes deep on us...

I want to see more run blitzes with James too...If he doesn't kill Westbrook with the ball, then get The QB early & often!

We NEVER even come close to being innovative and its killing us and all our very talented players in roles that can't excell at (ROY)...

Westbrook can't be allowed any room, I want a guy attacking him every play too...
LJ is also developing into a trusted weapon by McChunk, lets not make the mistake of letting him off the LOS without some pain there, legal, within the 5 yard limit.

Lets get after it, McChunk is hurting and even if he isn't too bad now....We will bring the PAIN!~ on sunday!

Wow...Nors. Where where you earlier when I was hammering literally all these points as much as possible.

~ Put Roy BACK in the box
~ Stretch the field
~ Fire Payton...that's mine
~ Sick of conservative game plan
~ Attack early and often

Attacking is easier said than done. Our oline has to keep Bledsoe standing up first.

Just the fact that you agree with Nors should tell you something about those opinions. :laugh2:

It's all predicated on how our offensive line performs. That unit sets the table for everything we would like to do. It allows us to run the ball, dictate tempo, and sets us up to do more offensively.

If Dallas can not effectively run the football or protect Bledsoe when he does drop, then we won't be doing much attacking. Jimmie Johnson is going to do a lot of run blitzing. Their defense will do everything in their power to make us one dimensional. So that in the event we decide to abandon the running game, their guys can pin their ears back and make life hell for our offense.

Our offensive line allows us to be more diverse. If we can do that, we can keep their defensive unit off balance. I agree we would be best served to test them upfield. And we can do that. The big men up front must have the protections ingrained and ready to adjust on the fly.

We can check out of situations and hit them where it hurts if we catch them. And that is true in the running game as well. But if we don't block and protect. This will be another messy defeat at the hands of Philly.

Agree or disagree on the points- I like the enthusiasm. Better than the 29 shades of blue in the majority of threads around here.

Exactly, the negativity, gloom, second guessing is in general pathetic.

Its time to step up and respond as a team. We are 2-2 and the season is far from "Lost" as some act.....

In fact we have a chance to put a hurt on Eagles - they are injured and vulnerable. Dawkins has a bad, bad ankle..... DT depleted. McSoup is a few hits away from breaking and I truly sense that. I tore a lower abdominal muscle once and its the type of injury that almost never heals....even with rest.

I know its ended many a hockey players career.

Or you could look at the facts that Philadelphia has the worst run defense that we've faced so far this season, has the best pass rush we've faced and is the best at forcing turnovers. Then you'd deduce that we need to run the ball more, protect Bledsoe and keep from making turnovers, then keep the game close and try to pull it out at the end. Some people would look at it that way.

.

whats pathetic is blowing a 13 pt lead with less than 5 mins remaining at home to a team that hadnt scored a single TD in 115 previous minutes of play

whats pathetic is following that up with just a terrible display of defensive football against the least talented team in football...we surrendered more yds in that game alone than the Niners had total in two previous games...the QB that looked like Joe Montana vs us has been benched for poor play in two other starts, and was benced for good today

whats pathetic is playing offense against the 2nd worst pass defense team in the league, and looking hopeless...whats pathetic is watching a team that had hardly touched a QB in 3 games knock our QB around play after play

whats pathetic is seeing a coach regarded as a hall of famer still have this team poorly prepared and lifeless on almost a weekly basis

stranger things have happened I guess, but a team I thought was a near lock for 10-11 wins looks like it will be very fortunate to win 5 or 6 right now

The Patriots are 2-2 also and they just got blown out by a team we beat. Think their board is firing all the coaches and whining about everything in sight? We have a GREAT opportunity Sunday. Whether we will or won't win isn't the point on Tuesday. It's a chance to show we can play with the best. I believe we have the talent and the will to win. :iggles: I say bring on the Eagles. Who's with me?
