and they stab it with their steely knives but they just can't kill the beast...

i'm not even going to read the article. if someone found a "fan based" article that spoke well of henson nors would dismiss it. those from the political forums reality has know my aversion to simply posting articles as a "reference point" cause anyone can do it from any side. so the article itself must NOT be the "ticket to solution" yet people pass them off with a SO THERE! in many cases - such as this.

a fan site is even less of a valid source, nors. it's usually used to try and bolster your own views but you'd dismiss the very same source of info if it went against your views.

in the end all the talking simply doesn't matter anymore. henson is in NFLE and we go from there.

Wow, an amateur page written by a fan who clearly has a major man-crush on Tom Brady. What an unbiased "article" that is.

The link was up for less than 10 minutes. There's about ZERO chance you actually read any of the article. There's an hour of reading there.

There are a lot of 3rd party articles and direct quotes on the Michigan years mixed in. Its there for those to read that are interested.

doesn't matter nors. it's still a fan based article that if one was there FOR drew you'd dismiss or discredit.

a fan based article just isn't "evidence" any more than a post in here is either way.

It was very in depth and very much Brady worshiping, but basically it pretty much reiterates what I've heard from a lot of people ... Brady was the best QB for Michigan in 1999, but Carr felt forced to play Henson because he was a hometown hero and was threatening to leave the Wolverines to play baseball (Which he ended up doing anyway).

Does anyone want to refute that?

Years from now remove Brady, Insert Romo. The Dallas years!

As I stated - in other thread this was a Brady story with extensive Henson, Michigan info. Read it - you will take many things from that story. Good, bad or indifferant.

I just thought it was hilarious that there were so many photos of Brady looking like Mr. All America, and then on of Henson...

Looking like he just smelled something bad, or is plotting to kill someone.:lmao2:

Those three pages should take an hour to read? Um, no...

Although I do admit to glancing over the injustice of the controversial excessive celebration penalty against ND, sentence after sentence like this

No, these are not Bo Schembechler's Wolverines. It's plainly clear that these are Tom Brady's Wolverines.
really don't take too long to read.

And to sign he demanded a 2 year freeze on drafting QB's. That was interesting. Carr was really screwed right there.

I don't hate Henson. I just have felt all along he's nowhere near ready to run an NFL offense. Thats proved out so far.
I've never been on the Henson bandwagon (don't hate him, just has not impressed me yet) but based on what you just said, what has Romo proven?

Nors said:
Pan back to 2003/2004 era here on this board - the readiness and greatness of the name Henson was greatly overestimated by many.
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black .. you've put Romo up on a higher pedastal than most users have ever done with Henson.

Nors said:
Having concerns and voicing them is not hate.
Then why have you constantly insulted Henson supporters the last two years any time they "voice their concerns" over Romo?

Now, the ironic thing is that all along I have believed Romo to be a better quarterback than Henson (at this point) [even Hostile will confirm we disagree on this issue] so don't go blowing this off as a Henson apologist post. I am just pointing out that you are chastising other users right now for exactly what you have been doing with Romo for the last two years.

Henson 1998 era - "what do backup mean coach - you told my daddy i was going to be the starter?"

This is just ridiculous, like his performance in his last year at Michigan did not prove he was ready and able to do the job, and do it well.

Like it was some sort of gift letting him start!

1) Henson supporters were calling to start Henson as early as signed in 2004, all season in 2004 and to start 2005.
One poster went so far as to advocate signing Bledsoe to backup Henson - serious.

2) Romo? Is nothing more than a decent backup QB prospect.
99% of all my comments/discussion on Romo/Henson have been over who should be the BACKUP. THats what it is. And Romo beat out Henson last year......

Read the story Reality - there's meat there for you on Henson.

Hey, Tom Brady has proved he can be an effective "system" QB. But he's not half the talent Henson is or was.

I disagree, there were a lot of Hesnon supporters when he first came on board, but I would say that there were very few who thought he could start Day 1. Most thought he needed time to get back in the game.

From what I remember Romo is the backup because he's better at holding on kicks. Henson can't hold when he's the third qb.

I'm guessing you meant "recruiting" not "drafting" and that is patently false. Michigan offered scholarships to two QBs and one QB/Athlete the year after Henson signed.

Nah, apparently it has SOMETHING to do with Tom Brady. But I can't figure it out.
