Norv Turner ain't looking so hot now?

Why would I check with Jones. YOU said Sproles was a top 5 back in the league. I like Sproles, I was calling for Dallas to draft him as a third down back. But top 5 in the league?

If you consider LT is/was considered the premiere back in the NFL, no doubt about it. If he doesn't take the 'starter role' or get more snaps than LT next year, you have to question the coaching and management. I may well be in the minority but I see LT as washed up and beyond his years now. He's no Emmitt Smith.

I guess pointing out the shortcoming of others makes we Cowboys fans feel better?

Norv Turner did more with the Chargers than Wade Phillips did with the Cowboys.

Imagine if the Cowboys loss DeMarcus Ware for the season, like the Chargers loss Shawne Merriman. Look how the Cowboys weren't able to overcome the loss of Marion Barber, now look how far the Chargers got without LT.

FWIW, Jimmy Johnson himself said he would take LT over Emmitt Smith.

Hmmmm I find it interesting that people want to bash Norv Turner AFTER his team loses to probably the best team in the AFC.

There's talk on the street; it sounds so familiar
Great expectations, everybody's watching you
People you meet, they all seem to know you
Even your old friends treat you like you're something new

Johnny come lately, the new kid in town
Everybody loves you, so don't let them down

You look in her eyes; the music begins to play
Hopeless romantics, here we go again
But after awhile, you're lookin' the other way
It's those restless hearts that never mend

Johnny come lately, the new kid in town
Will she still love you when you're not around?
There's so many things you should have told her,
but night after night you're willing to hold her,
Just hold her, tears on your shoulder

There's talk on the street, it's there to
Remind you, that it doesn't really matter
which side you're on.
You're walking away and they're talking behind you
They will never forget you 'til somebody new comes along
Where you been lately? There's a new kid in town
Everybody loves him, don't they?
Now he's holding her, and you're still around
Oh, my, my
There's a new kid in town
just another new kid in town
Ooh, hoo
Everybody's talking 'bout the new kid in town,
Ooh, hoo
Everybody's walking' like the new kid in town
There's a new kid in town
There's a new kid in town
I don't want to hear it
There's a new kid in town
I don't want to hear it
There's a new kid in town
There's a new kid in town
There's a new kid in town

I don't ever recall Jimmy Johnson saying that...

He said it the FOX show about two years ago, I want to say. I'll try to see if it's on google.

And I'd take Sproles all day over pretty much any back we have. I'm prepared to get blasted on that, but I think Sproles is one of the top 5 backs in the league.
There is so much wrong with those statements I don't know where to begin.

No offense ,but just because a coach does'nt win a PO game or SB does 'nt make him a bad coach does it??

I mean I think the guy did a pretty good job this year.

The Steelers with their #1 D are tough at home. Didnt expect the undermanned Chargers to pull off the upset.

I don't think anybody in the NFL goes up to Pittsburgh and beats them.

The Steelers are very hot right now and very difficult to beat at home.

The warm weather San Diego Chargers didn't have a chance to beat them, especially without LT.

Again, hard to read the message board right now. So much bitterness on the part of Cowboys fans at the success other teams and coaches had/or having.

If the Steelers get the 6th Lombardi first, Cowboys fans should direct their bitterness inward towards the Cowboys organization.

It used to be they had the four SB's, but they were all from the 70's. Now they have one three years ago and are close to another with a different HC.

Hopefully the Ravens take them, but I doubt it.

They went from 4-8 getting hosed by the refs for 12 weeks to winning 4 straight in December and winning their division, and then beat Indianapolis whom everyone was thinking AFC Championship. I think Norv did a pretty good job righting the ship. I'd say he gets one more year.

However if he gets canned, I hope Jerry pulls the trigger, fires Wade, promotes Garrett, hires Norv as OC and brings in Dom Capers for DC.

AND lets Garrett/Norv/Dom hire a GM or at least someone like Jeff Ireland to help Jerry be GM.

Yep.

However, I really believe one of the NFC Teams could beat them on a neutral field.

I think the Eagles would have a better shot than the Cardinals but you never know.

I don't care who wins, I am not bitter at all.

That Ravens/Steelers game is going to extremely physical and I am going to watch it because I am more of a fan of great defenses rather than great offenses.

Considering the Steelers got away with holding on every 3rd and long which led to constant first downs to eat away at the clock and not allow the San Diego offense on the field, I'll give Norv Turner the benefit of the doubt...

Aazing how awful the Steelers offensive line was the whole year, and suddenly they don't let aanybody put a finger on Big Ben... How about that big PI after the Chargers scored their TD... The right tackle on the Steelers mauled the Chargers DE with his hands all over his face...

It does look fishy.

I'm sure that won't be mentioned on ESPN at all.
