The chargers faced the best team in teh AFC. And they did it w/o their best player.

Did anyone actually expect the Chargers to win?

I am disappointed with the defensive effort of the Chargers. I expected their offense to struggle a bit and maybe turn it over some. I felt the Chargers D had to step up big in this one, and they laid down and flopped on the ground like a bunch of dying fish.

I don't get the discussion??? Discuss what? That Norv Turner minus Merriman got the Chargers to the AFC Divisional round this year and by the way the AFC championship game last year.

Geez, that is so bad. Man I would rather have our record!!! Yeah, right! If San Diego would be so foolish to let Norv go, how long would it take for a Detroit or Jets or another team to hire him right away. Like zero minutes!!

Stupid discussion. He did more with less than any other team this year. He kept the team together when they were 4-8. If Dallas had been 4-8 our final record would probably have been 4-12.

With some help from the Broncos who had 3 games to put it away and failed.

At least they gave themselves the opportunity, they don't control whether the Broncos win or lose, they only control how they do.

Yes they did they put up an 8-8 season and that was enough to make the post season. They did what they had to do so I do give credit there. Bronco on the other hand controled it and blew it.

Sorry, no... Sproles is > LT at this juncture. And I'd take Sproles all day over pretty much any back we have. I'm prepared to get blasted on that, but I think Sproles is one of the top 5 backs in the league. And here's an earth shaker, Norv isn't utilizing him to his full potential.

Sproles > injured LT
Sproles < healthy LT.

There is more to being a running back than just speed and agility.

Heck Norv got more of his guys than our Coach Cupcake.

I don't agree with the NFL playoffs that an 8-8 team can go to the playoffs while an 11-5 team can't...that needs to be changed in my opinion..but Norv did a nice job this year.

Phillip Rivers comes across as a real jerk to me. Glad he's going home.

I like Darren Sproles, but he is not a top 5 running back. I would gladly welcome him in Dallas if there was a need, but there is not. The running back position is one of the bright spots of the Cowboys. I like Barber, Jones and Choice and feel all three can contribute to future Cowboys success.

Sproles is a very good change of pace back and an excellent return man. He is especially good as a kick returner.

Sproles has 544 yards rushing for his career. Most of that is due to the fact that he has played behind two very good running backs in LT and Michael Turner, so it limits his opportunities. Still that is nothing for a 4 year career. Barber began his career as a back up and put up 538 yards his rookie season.

Sproles is good and had a very good playoff run, but there are plenty of backs that can do what he did in the playoffs out of the back field. Some may have even put up better numbers. Now there are not a whole lot that could do what Sproles did as a return man. Of course they may be too valuable to risk losing to injury returning punts and kicks.
