Absolutely...

He's one of the best. Our Offense is built perfectly for his style and he has tons of experience and is exceptional with Quarterbacks.

This is a no brainer.

I know it's blasphemy, considering his contribution during the "glory days", but I'm not a Turner fan. This team no longer has the most dominant O-line in the league. Nor does it have an Aikman, Irvin, or Smith (we do, however, have an upgrade at TE).

Now, that's not to say that Turner doesn't have value. I just look at the way that his team snuck into the playoffs in the worst division in football last year (with an 8-8 record, nonetheless) and his team is tied with the Raiders in the win department this year. All with Norv running the offense. The Chargers aren't playing great this season and they're loaded with talent on the offensive side of the ball. If that's all Norv can squeeze out of THAT group, I'd prefer he stay far, far away from Valley Ranch.

No.

I'd rather go with someone fresh and new.

No more blasts from the past.

I was questioning Norv's playcalling last night as I watched the game. So I don't know on that front.

However, the guy has been instrumental in the development of a couple of pretty good QB's. I think Romo needs a guy like that right now.

i think he would be good without the responsibilities of being a head coach. I remember he did pretty good with a lot less talent in san francisco b4 he got the san diego job. I think he would do wonders for Romo's career too. i think pairing him with a young defensive minded coach would be very good.

As an OC I'd take him in a heartbeat. He's a fine OC as he showed when he was here before and again just a couple of years ago with the Niners when he made Alex Smith actually look like he was a solid NFL QB in the making.

Norv could be my OC any day.

Of course. I was vehemently against him as HC, but I'd love to have him as an OC. He's very good with QBs and his offense is great -- very efficient without being overly complicated.

I'm really bewildered as to why Jason's offense doesn't look more like his. I sure wish it did.

I've read in more than a few places that what sets a coordinator apart is his feel for the game. Playcalling is a skill that Jason still needs to develop.

He's got the X's and O's part down, but he needs to mesh that a little better with the flow of the game...and not outsmart himself in the process.

i would take norv in a heartbeat

romo needs someone he can respect, norv would bring that and is very innovative and a great playcaller (lol at people on message boards who have the nerve to say "i question his playcalling")

the best though would be to hire a HC and let him make decisions on co-ordinators

I'm glad you said it because even I get tired of beating up RJ! ;)

Wade has said 100 times that it's not what I can dream up, it's what the players on the team can do... And that you have to tailor things to what your players do best. I wish Jason would learn that a little better. JMO of course, but sometimes I get the feeling that he, like a lot of fans, thinks Wade is just a country bumpkin who doesn't really know that much. But he actually could be a valuable resource for Jason if he'd use him.

Next season RJ as Head Coach, Norval as OC....DC to be named later...

I like it. I don't think Norv would have a problem with OCing for his former QB either.
