I really hope we don't revert to the teams of the years previous to 2014. But with a quote like this and Stephen talking about a trade or looking at the waiver wire, they are not pleased so far with the run game and their pieces. Romo is not effective when he is asked to throw it around the field 40-45 times. We've seen how that unfolds.

You cant blame Jerry. After all we have 3 pass catching running backs. We'll have a bunch of screens and dink & dunk galore.

Little more throwing = Romo airing it out 40-45 times a game. Gotcha

It's pretty clear. And what makes you say that? Maybe it's all the RB's out on the street that they have brought in and signed. SMDH!

They signed the rb's we have and so far when they have played they've played solid
Where does they don't trust them even come from
They haven't even have a second thought to any free agents, they didn't pick a single RB in the draft
Their action sure seem to say they trust them

I totally agree with you. It was sarcasm on my part towards the OP!

Wait until cuts start happening and who they start bringing in. Comments from Jerry and Stephen are pretty clear indication.

But it's their own doing. They let the leading rusher go from last year and had a flimsy plan on how to replace that. We brought in a declining, injury prone guy. Mainly because he was from Arkansas, the main reason we drafted Felix.

They feel this OL is all they need to succeed at the run game. We will see. Because it was not that way at all in the 90s with Emmitt. And like Nate said, they were never considered great until Emmitt came along. There are such thing as talented RBs. They do not grow on trees contrary to so many;s beliefs. There is a difference in a guy like Murray and a guy like Dunbar and Randle. You trust either of them to give you a tough 2 yards on 3rd down or pick up a complex blitz?

The defense should be improved, so going back to a bit more passing is fine. They also shouldnt have a need to pass as often which will make it more effective. This isnt 2014, and its not 2012 either. You cant just look at pass/run numbers in a vacuum.

If they go back to 65% + shotgun snaps then it's going to be a regression.

Nothing puts more pressure on a defense than a running game that is working.
