And Dak was setting Quincy Carter levels of futility before Cooper had to bail him out..

If you think Dak is even close to as good as Rivers on a bad day, your football knowledge is a joke..

Quincy Carter never led us to 13 wins as a rookie. Get real! As for Philip Rivers the guy is 38 years old and tossed 20 INT’s this season. You would rather replace Dak with a 38-year-old QB who’s almost done? lol

He was playing with a sore shoulder. You’ll be cleared with that but can you be affective. It was a pain issue for him and he did his best. His receivers certainly didn’t help him with all the drops. Fans who think there’s a better QB out there available who will give the Cowboys a better chance are kidding themselves.

I really don't. But I wouldn't pay him elite QB money either. The Cowboys can be 8-8 or worse with or without Dak. Using up that much cap space for an above average QB at best is not a good idea IMO.

Ask yourself this. How many games do you think Dallas won primarily due to QB play? If you inserted Fitzpatrick, Wentz, Goff, Minshew, Foles, how many less wins would we have? 2 tops. But probably still around 8-8. So should Dallas pay Prescott 30+ Mil? That's ridiculous.

Agreed on calling Tannehill. We should call up Bridgewater. As for the draft, we have options. Hurts (especially if we get Lincoln Riley), Love, Fromm (if he declares), Tua, Herbert, Burrow (of course), Jordan Love, Jacob Eason. There aren’t that many QB needy teams in the NFL right now to be honest. Dolphins, Bengals, maybe the Titans if they don’t keep Tannehill? Bears. Pats maybe. Panthers maybe. We can easily get Hurts, Fromm, maybe even Herbert. Now, I know your fear of drafting a bust overcomes your optimism of drafting an all-time great, but we have to try.

This league is full of average QBs putting together a solid season to make a run..

Led as a ‘game manager’ dunking and dunking. QC also made the playoffs..

As a fourth year QB, Dak choked his way to not making the playoffs despite a four game spot lead by the Eagles..

Yes, I’d rather have a 38 year old Phillip Rivers throwing with one deep safety all day long, man on the outside, and UPRIGHT like Dak does with the best pass blocking line in the league..

I just need Rivers here for a couple of seasons, in these circumstances, while we groom a new QB. 38 is nothing in this context. The man doesn’t get hurt either.

How much more can he improve after 4 full years in the league? He can tinker with things here and there but he's gonna be who he is after 4 years

66% completion percentage, 93 TD 36 INT, 3800 yards per season. He put up career highs in yards, TDs, yards per attempts this year, so it is clear, he still has room to grow. He's not the greatest ever, but he is good enough to win with the right scheme.

You can have Ryan Tannehill who flamed out in Miami and was a backup to start this season with Tennessee. Try your luck with Bridgewater who’s still a backup. Go ahead and try your luck in the draft. Troy Aikman and everyone else who knows football has endorsed Dak.

The amount of people ok with just average is mind boggling. I keep saying it but looking at most people's personal lives and how average they are can't say I'm surprised people are ok being just good enough not to be considered bad.
I feel the same way every day when I go to work. everyones content with mediocrity. Every job I have I have to raise the bar and inspire my co workers to even attempt to go past average. People settle for average jobs, average income and average women.
Its not wonder the world is mostly average people with a hand full of greats.

If you put Dak on those Miami teams Tannehill was on none of us would even know who he is by now.

context my friend context. Don't leave out the at least 3 of his 300 plus yard games were losses with him struggling in the 1st half and missing wide open receivers until the late 3rd for 4th qtr when the game was out of reach. If you count meaningful yards and tds in competitive games, he only has about 17 tds and 2700 yards.

Lay off the drugs he's done growing at any big jump level. The jumps he makes now won't be that noticeable. Y'all's love for Dak and his sounds good talk is laughable. How many players in any sport have these meteoric rises out of the sky after they've already been playing and starting for 4 going on 5 years? I bet the list is very short so why are we talking outlier situations?

What else is Aikman supposed to say about his team’s QB? He talks to Dak before every game that he commentates. He knows what it’s like being a young QB for Dallas. He isn’t going to straight up say “No. He shouldn’t be paid. He’s garbage and below average.” Or at least out loud he wouldn’t say that. Plus, he already essentially called Dak out for garbage time stats. Aikman is no idiot. You know how bad he’d be thrashed for talking trash about Dak on national television? Don’t fall for his trick. He knows damn well he wouldn’t pay Dak. I can’t say I blame him.

LMAO...people forget Dak has a handicap.Garrett disease. Destroyed Tony Romo's whole career. Doing the same for Dak. Good job there,Garrett. Now Dak needs improvement but what quarterback can you bring in here under Garrett? Answer? NONE! Dak is top 10. Sometimes top 5. It is what it is. Try on some other NFL quarterbacks. See how they fit???

This could go on for several more pages. I’m not going to waste anymore time with fans who want to move on from Dak. Mark my words the team won’t be moving on from him.

Where is he going to grow? After 4 years in the league he hasn't learned how to step up in the pocket? You don't teach or learn that it's instinct, after 4 years he still can't hit a reciever in the hands in stride on a crossing pattern, he's not going to get better at that. he may throw for a few more yards here or there his yards per attempt may go up or down depending on the year along with his completion percentage, but who he is as a QB is not going to change. I do agree with you in that if you put the right pieces/scheme around him he could win and that's ok i would take it but he's never going to carry this team, the team will always have to carry him

its annoying how many people ignore him not being able to hit receivers in stride. Even his completions aren't accurate. how may 17-20 passes does he have that should've gone for tds?
