It is just a new shiny toy. Cutting established, productive veterans for unproven, raw rookies is stupid. How many rookies have come in that resulted in calls for the immediate release of Doug Free?

He's come a long way since last year when he had nothing in preseason.

I don't doubt that he has but NFL teams are going to want see something on tape before they make room on their 53 and I doubt the FO is going to create that opportunity for him, if there's a chance he can be stashed.

I am pulling big time for Butler to step up and cement the #4 spot with Lucky at #5.

Problem is we probably won't keep 5 receivers active on game day and Butler doesn't play special teams. It will be the big 3 and Lucky on Game Day, even if lucky were the 5th WR.
