No worries. I'll give him his own thread because he is STILL what we drafted. That's a rookie with a load of potential who, according to others, led the defense in tackles amid a heckuva defensive shortage against Denver.
Hey..

give him his own Zone..

like Jaylon Zone..

Rasta Zone ( he looks like one)

?

we ll see at the end of the year. as i said, the field will dictate. Dallas has got to get over this "lets be loyal to injured guys" which also goes with "lets keep holding onto projects". If by the end of the year hes just a JAG, label him a JAG and move on.
Thankfully we didn't have this thought process with DLaw.

We will... there will be much gnashing of teeth if he keeps this up towards the end of the season and especially through the off-season.
Grab your jocks and pull your... socks.
Something like that.

Jaylon led the team in tackles with 10, not Sean Lee, but Jaylon Smith.
If that is not good, I can't wait to see him when he is good by your standards.

The team credited him with 14 tackles. On 68 snaps. Which really surprised me, because he looked like he was taking bad angles and giving up big cushions on Sunday. I didn't realize he was as active as he apparently was.

He was. But there he was... pulling guys down also.
Makes me all tingly over his potential, really.

People want to blame the LB for poor angles --Lee has his share of them too,-- but the major issue was the DL was getting dominated up front.

Collins, Paea, and Mayowa in particular didn't play well. Never mind the constant stream of OL and H/F-backs mucking up the second level. It was far too easy for their HB to run straight downhill through the line or off tackle.

It was roundly agreed by all the analysts around town that Jaylon had a really rough game on Sunday. Sean Lee was basically playing his and Jaylon's position at the same time much of the day.

It'll get better. We'll see how much.

Yep. It's very basic. Dlinemen do your job and keep guys off of our LBs and suddenly guys like Lee look like world beaters again.

He is not ready to start

He is starting because Hitchens went down and our great FO once again did not have a plan except lollipops and rainbows

Don't blame him, blame the FO

It's bad enough that you blindly take the word of someone else but they you double down by not even articulating what they claimed went wrong.

Yeah he took some bad angles but everyone on the second level was. They had 2 or more blockers they had to navigate and the HB was coming through the hole untouched and with a full head of steam. Yeah they should have been moving backwards instead of laterally to cut them off but that take just misses the point as to what was going wrong.

I was more concerned about his lack of strength at the point of attack.
