Not so fast on the Mccarthy love

I just think its way too early to call him better than Parcells (which I saw happen on this forum)

I think the "few homers" ( yes I'm one ) are simply saying give the guy a chance. As with most coaches, he got a pass for 2020 but I haven't seen/heard one poster that hasn't said no excuses for 2021. He's 5-1 so far, in my book that's a great start. If supporting him the rest of this season makes me a homer, I'll take it. (LOL)

Ultimately whether we like it or not that’s the bar with this franchise.

Unless fans just love losing in the playoffs with Mikey more than the rest of our HC this era. We shall see.

I complain about him but please believe after 10 years of Jason Garrett I’m just happy it’s not him and I’m very thankful but my gosh McCarthy can turn a game into a circus.

when did garrett ever win a super bowl?
when did we ever stroll into ne under garrett and get a w.
when did a garrett team not fold when everything went wrong?
i liked garrett...good person.
but not a good hc.
he had no "feel" for his team.
and his in game decisions showed no "feel" for how the game is unfolding before him.
mccarthy has won a title.
he knows how to build a championship team.
and thats what he is doing.
this team...this coach...this staff...these players...all show the ability to adjust to whats unfolding.
garretts teams never could.

Yes, I'm not totally sold on McCarthy but he is way better than Garrett. No comparison. I'll take McCarthy over Garrett every day and twice on Sunday.

No doubt. He should get his chance. And he got a pass last year, deservedly so.

But the hype for this team is moving up quickly and I doubt anything less than a championship appearance will suffice.

Depending how we fizzle out should provide another shot. Unless of course Jethro has to choose between him and Moore. How the season ends is critical.

The ticky tacky complaints about Mike are overblown. Just because he isn't a news hog in the front of the camera doesn't mean he isn't a leader. He is Mike. Based on the inspired play by our team, I believe they are listening and learning and eventually run through walls for him. Nice to have a grown-up in the room that has a ring.

This. I could never stand Garrett. I am so glad he is gone that I am willing to overlook MMs flaws. I am not going to say I have full confidence in him but I don't hate him like most posters here. We are 5-1 with him and that is all that matters right now.
