.......Probably NOT. But........it should. Thats a for sure. Other thing is this....It doesnt cost the Cowboys a darn thing to keep in contact with Detroit. Not a thing. The more they continue to lose the more likely they are to crack. The old you wont know unless you ask deal.

Roy Williams, W.R. If the Lions lose next week, which they will, they go to 0-4. Season pretty much over. As soon as the lions drop that game next week If I were Jerry I'd be on the horn dangling a 1st round pick to Detroit. If the Lions balk I would increase the offer to a 1st and a 5th, no more. Landing Williams would really set us up for the latter part of the season and the playoffs. He's pretty familiar with our offense too having played under Martz in Detroit which used a version of the air coryell/ turner stuff. Think were running the ball well now? Add Williams to the mix and that field will open up like Moses parting the red sea...........;) This would be a huge move Imo that would pay big dividends in every way imaginable for our offense.

A first rounder? You're crazy. He's not that good.

Heres the thing...Is Roy Williams going to be unrestricted after this season or Not? Pretty sure he is. If the Lions continue to lose it makes almost zero sense from their standpoint to keep him, gonna lose him in the offseason anyway. It also looks like Roy is losing ground to Calvin Johnson in a big way. Johnson is now their number 1 receiver. They also have a couple nice complimentary receivers in detroit besides Williams. Im tellin ya, EVERYBODY wins in this scenario. Williams plays where he wants to play...IN Dallas. We add a vital piece to our offensive arsenal, and Detroit gets a pick, or PICKS...1ST and FIFTH to rebuild with. The very best trades are trades that benefit BOTH teams, where its not onesided. THIS is one of them.....

Let me get this straight. You want to give up a first and a 5th round pick, for a WR who is going to be an unrestricted FA at the end of the season?

How about a #2?

If I was Jerry Jones I would not speak to Matt Millon because the last two times we did they wanted DeMarcus Ware as part of a trade package.

Cant blame Millon for trying. If they arent planning to resign and their season is pretty much over I would think they would have to consider getting some draft picks for Roy Williams, especially considering that Calvin Johnson is for real.

Can't Detroit put the franchise tag on RW after this season? I don't think they are in a position where they have to trade him.

Just tell Millen that Ware changed his name to Bobby Carpenter and make the trade. We are talking about Matt Millen here.

Just tell him that Ware is on that Michael Jackson skin whitening plan. If Millen is still suspicious, then tell him that he would have been a high round receiver had he not switched positions in college.

:lmao:Still laughing at the image of Bobby running WR routes....probably getting offensive penalties on every play for running over defenders.

I sure hope Barbie picks it up...playing behind Zack has to help.

Always meant to ask, is your user name because of the "musical group"? Their newest song is pretty good stuff! I always try to get it playing on my Ipod when I'm running my last quarter mile so I will pick up the tempo.

It helps keep him on the sidelines, which is a very good thing. Oh, and why anyone would want ANYTHING Detroit Lions coming aboard and infecting our team with their loser stink is beyond me.

Newsflash: Roy Williams is a me-first, prima donna receiver who has never positively impacted his team at either the college or pro level. Look beyond some misleading personal stats and know that I speak truth. He's just not an impact player some make him out to be.

Yes, probably a spur of the moment type of thing... And congrats on the running....I have learned over the years that I have two lazy genes and just don't seem to get out and run on a regular basis. Good idea on the upbeat music, maybe that would help.

I'll tell ya, a lot of it is finding what works for you. I have to run at a certain time and with hard core music or I will absolutely not do it. I was a child of the mosh pit, so it still gets my blood pumping to crank up the metal. I probably look like a tool singing out loud while I'm running though (while the world cannot hear the music I am singing to).

if the Lions franchise tag Roy Williams next year, they are idiots. The guy has 8 catches on the year...

No way I give them a first now. They had their chance in the offseason. I doubt there is any chance they get a 1st for him at this point, they had there chance and they blew it. His value only goes down ad the weeks progress.

Because.... he is a FA next year unless they franchise him for what is it, about 10 mill.
I tend to agree with this. We do not need Roy Williams, but the Lions are finding themselves in a position where they may need to get something in return for Williams.

They had there chance at a first, but failed to take it. Besides, I don't know if Williams is even worth a first. I would offer them a second and Patrick Crayton. Crayton does not carry a huge contract and he would fit in just fine for Detroit. Williams would then be our #2 with Austin coming in as the #3.

They can, but it would be absolutely absurd to do so. They obviously are trying to phase him out of the offense, so franchising him would severely hamper their ability to improve. I think the going rate for franchising WR's is between 9-10 million, and that is just for one year! 9 million for a #2 WR that you are not even using is just bad business sense. Even with that, Williams could hold out and does not have to sign a contract with Detroit.
