A much needed signing.

I really don’t love the DT’s and O-line players at our 1st pick by those are what we need 1st and 2nd round.

Can’t just bring back the same old same old and expect better results
If you make that comment in connection to Hankins I think you're wrong. Once he'd bedded in just look at the yards allowed in games he played as opposed to the games he was out injured.

Im not even convinced we/Quinn see's a 3-Tech as a priority.....it's a holding position to help facilitate the pass-rush.

Love it. Hole plugged for peanuts, and the contract doesn't deter them from upgrading in the draft if the opportunity presents itself. Hankins was a huge boost to the run defense last year. They've essentially kept a very strong, playoff caliber defense intact and upgraded the biggest weakness at cb2. Incredible offseason, and the draft is still a month away!

SJ said they're good at DT. Wether thats a good thing or not who knows. But take him at his word so you're not suprised when they don't draft a dt until rd 5,6,7 if at all.
This is what happens when the non-football owners think they know what their doing but they haven't got a clue.

It amazes me that the worlds richest sports organization is so cheap when it comes to paying players in free agency.

Man that’s cheap. Dude actually deserves more IMO BUT WHATEVER

DT pluggers are cheap because they aren't super valuable. By the way this forum acts you'd think run-stuffers in the middle are as important as meat and bread.

He’s good but we need another one like him. The run defense dropped off significantly when he didn’t play last year. Considering how cheap he is, we should try to find one or two more like him.
Round One....an offensive lineman. Round Two, a nose tackle worth his weight!

Love the resigning of Hankins… worried about his health and him holding up over the season.

Fine with Watkins coming back as well. Quality vet depth.

Need more from Bohanna. Would love to draft a big 1T to compete with him and replace Hankins going fwd

When Watkins did play, he played well for us.

All for resigning him also.

1.5 for Hankins is robbery. Team is killing it.
It would have been more but it depended on Jerry having to submit to a DNA test that may have determined he was Hankins father…….shrewd move, although the resemblance is uncanny

Not even a little bit. The RB position is a VERY SMALL piece of football in 2023. Why commit any big time capital to the position at all when you still have Pollard. Draft someone next year, who cares.
What? My "wow" comment was in response to your questionable statement that Malik Davis would be the #2 or 3 RB taken in this year's draft. I even bolded it which I thought made it clear but perhaps It did not

a lot to unpack here. First off, this was my comment. How can that possibly be misconstrued as me thinking re-signing Hankins was a bad thing? It's about bringing in other good players in addition
"This is awesome news. Still need a couple more DTs via draft or free agency. Can’t just bring back the same old same old and expect better results"

Second Quinn isn't solely in charge of drafts and free agency and he's only been here for 2 drafts. I can't imagine he doesn't see 3-tech as a priority unless he sees Osa growing into a dominant 3 tech. Lastly, 3 tech is absolutely not just a holding position to help facilitate the pass rush. 1 tech? Sure, you can make that comment I guess, but not 3 tech.

You'll get Carlos Watkins and a 6th rounder and you'll like it
Now this is someone who accurately understood my comment and that is exactly my fear of how the rest of the offseason will go. Oh, and along with another year of hoping "this is the year" for Gallimore...
Fresh talent needed

What all these Free Agent signings mean is we might for once take the best player available at the appropriate place and not pull another Taco pick.
