Nuts to a RB- lets get a top CB!

I think that King kid from Penn State is the guy to go for. Great player and a great person as well.

To get a top CB, you are going to spend out the yang in FA. Much better to get one in the draft.

Yes, but a price will have to be paid somewhere. We are moving Carp everywhere, maybe he can play CB, lol.

Love to see us also get another young OL, that is all of a sudden 5 spots. One spot just has to be filled in free agency, your choice on which one.

I think Cason will be a better Pro CB than Chris McAllister from the same program. He is a legit top 10 prospect IMO. He's played in 34 career games, has 182 tackles, 18 passes broken up, and 10 interceptions. Teams throw away from him and at Wilrey Fontenot because Cason will make them pay.

If McFadden is gone Cason becomes one of the players I target with the Browns pick. If we get DMac, then WR and CB need to be our next two picks. Age, health, and time to develop seem to be dictating that to us.

I agree, after DMac, CB is number one. If we can't get DMac or Stanton, I would actually want to see us resign JJ.

Look at what clements got- and he is NOT as good as Newman is. There is no way that we want to go to FA to get a STARTING CB. They are just about as expensive as starting QBs.

Steve Slaton.

I like Ray Rice of Rutgers better as a pro prospect.

LOL, guess I'm still hungover.

Really though, I think that sure we can get a good RB in the draft, but if it isn't a top prospect, I would rather just keep JJ, if the price is at least decent.

I just don't see us filling all our needs in the draft.

If JJ can be consistent on first and second down getting more than a paltry 4.1 a carry, then I say resign him and keep the two headed approach and go after the best cornerback in the draft. It is much harder to find a CB than a runningback; look at what we have in Marion Barber and what the skins have in ladell betts.

Steve Slaton is going to be a good player in this league but he is too small to carry the full load. If we had to draft an RB then I would say go for Mcfadden.

I think its safe to say that secondary is this team's primary area of concern ATM. Even before Newman was injured.

I want Dallas to trade the Cleveland pick to New England. With three first round picks take a CB, NT, and WR. Sign JJ.

The same Justin King that was charged with criminal trespass, a felony, disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor, and a summary charge of harassment in April '07?

Granted, charges were dropped and it was later claimed he was a peace maker in the incident, but its still a red flag.

I think the team needs to grab two offensive playmakers and a corner with the first three picks.

DeSean Jackson, Johnathan Stewart (or one of the other second tier of backs) and Tracy Porter might not be a bad 1st two rounds.

I have heard about that incident and it truly was a bad rap. There has been NOTHING else that shows any red flags at all. But of course someone will always try and use it to go after luxuries instead of what we really need.

ESPN might as well set up shop at Valley Ranch if that happens.

Antione Cason
Yeah, him. I'll be able to watch his game closely since I live in AZ. What are some of the other top CB prospects in next years draft?

There's a whole lot more to why the charges were filed than you think.

Centre County's DA Ray Gricar simply disappeared. It was a national story for about a week, you may remember it. Madiera, an assistant DA, was appointed to replace him then elected while people were still looking for Gricar.

Madiera has a stick up his rear for Penn State football players. He charged one player that Gricar decided shouldn't be charged only to have a judge literally laugh it out of court.

What King did to get charged was insane. A player and his girlfriend were accosted on the street by several guys who then ran into an apartment party. The player then called a teammate to tell him what happened. King heard about what was happening, went there and stopped about a dozen players from entering the apartment. He went into the apartment to literally drag a few players out who had made it into the apartment.

Madeira charged everyone who could be identified as being there or admitted to being there (King as he gave a full statement to the police). Charges were either dropped or dismissed against all but two players who have had most of there charges thrown out.

I wouldn't consider a player stopping a potential brawl as a red flag.

He also already has his degree despite just starting his true junior season. That's impressive in my book.

Wow

This whole thread is the epitome of over reaction.
I don't think so. Most would have probably agreed that a top CB was high on the list before the Newman injury.

Good job Stan on dropping the hammer on the poster trying to smear King.

It's interesting that all this King love is coming out just a day after Vela writes a blog post slobbering over the guy. It's not certain that he'll even declare after this season, and if he does I really don't think he'll be a top 5-10 pick. So, it's not as if it's an either/or thing with a top RB.
