I know what the tie breakers are. You said the Rangers had more wins, they didn't, you lose. A shootout win counts as two points, it isn't a tiebreaker but it counts as two points, a win is a win is a win. Admit you were wrong.
I'm not wrong. They had more ROW = more wins. I'm not counting that shootout bs.

And why is that? Were the Canadiens clearly the better team? No. Did they play better? No. Were they deeper? No. Were they even able to score a goal in their season-ending loss in game 6? No. Did they look like they just couldn't keep up any longer by the time their final 3rd period rolled around. Absolutely.

Beating the Bruins was a great accomplishment (and thanks for that BTW), but it also seemed to give Canadiens fans a heightened sense of how good they actually were. The Rangers and Canadiens were comparable teams this season, but the Rangers were the better team in that series.

Now on to the Finals!

I truly believe if Price didn't go down, we win the series. Losing Weise also hurt as even though he is but a 3rd/4th liner, our record with him in the lineup was 22-7-4 since we picked him up, only 5-5 without him.

Most Canadian media pundits said whichever of Lundqvist or Price played better would mean their team won. Price was not given that chance.

Remember people that we were an inch away from going up 3-2 late in that 4th game but Galchenyuk's shot hit the cross bar and landed on the line. The Rangers were clearly better line when looking at the series in its totality is plain wrong. You hammered us in game 1, we hammered you in game 5. The others were very close games. We were better in game 3, even in game 4, you were better in game 6, we were better in game 2.

You won and sadly I have to live with it. However, I will not agree that we should not have won the series and believe we would have if Price doesn't get hurt.

That is not more wins. We won 46, you won 45, we had more wins, pure and simple. We had 100 points, Rangers 96. We had two extra ties that ended up in losses in OT (we both had 3 SO losses).

You cannot spin 45 wins to being more than 46 wins in any scenario. An SO win gets two points just like a regulation or OT win.

I hate the shootout more than anyone but it was Bettman and his American lackeys who said we needed it because Americans do not like games that end in ties given baseball and bball have no ties and the tie is as rare as a Garrett greater than .500 season in the NFL. A shootout win is a win.

Fine, you had more wins with an asterisk next to it.

I'd treat the ROW as more meaningful that the standard W column, but there is no asterisk. If you mean ROW just say ROW and there is no dispute.

I respect a majority of what you wrote here. As I said before, they were comparable teams. Neither team was much better than the other. I just totally disagree with you saying "No way we should have lost to that team.." That indicates that you believe the Canadiens were clearly a superior team. Nothing during the regular season or postseason backs that up.
