Oddly, this game was confirmation for me that the Cowboys are right there

Dak sucked and cost a 10 point swing. Then threw another pick giving up another 3 points. He was off target often.

The team does have something going, but Dak has shown he is not the guy to lead the team.

Moore and his predictable offense needs to go. He is the reason why Zeke did not have a good year, calling runs up the middle into stacked boxes like last year.

Yes Zeke lost a step, was not breaking tackles like he used to. And yes after Pollard went out, it changed a lot of things. But Moore is too stupid to figure anything out.
I like your take. I want KM done... But I will say this, I'd be curious to see if KM would run a more complex offense with a different QB.

Four teams did better than the Cowboys did, out of 32 teams total.

Four.

Why do some of you people pretend we're some laughingstock? Because Stephen A. Smith says so?

If you like coming in, in fourth or even fifth in this case ;)!

The Cowboys are right there. Niners are just a little better. In a way I am proud of this team. They showed up today and for at least half of the game, we were the better team. It wasnt like last year where we got embarrassed. We lost, but unlike the gleeful homers I didnt expect us to win. Dak didnt have a great game by any stretch, but again, against the #1 defense on the road I didnt expect him to. Dak is NOT elite. Top 10 but not elite. I thought the defense played great, they just got tired in the 4th quarter. I thought the Oline had a great game.

This game was essentially over the moment Pollard went out. I was proud of the coaching staff. It ONLY took 4 years and one playoff game, but they finally figured out how much better Pollard is than Zeke. They started Pollard and were featuring him until he went down. Sadly we had to depend on the horrid Zeke and the first two drives out of the he basically had 2 yards and 5 touches with 2 dropped passes.

Without Pollard, I think its abundantly obvious that we simply dont have enough playmakers. If I am the Cowboys I find a way to resign Pollard and Shultz and I get out of the Gallup contract if at all possible without much penalty. I make WR a priority in the offseason along with another RB to go with Pollard.

ON the road, this was a game that would come down to a one or two mistake here and there and thats exactly what happened. 2 picks by Dak, which were NOT good throws at all. Even the tipped ball he shouldnt have thrown. But again, was he feeling pressed because we cant rely on our kicker? Who knows? Niners D had 3 chances for picks and they capitalized on two of them. Well done. Cowboys had two easy picks and dropped them both. It matters. If turpin goes to the outside on that kickoff return, he has a easy TD. A few little things here and there.

Cowboys are right there. Niners/Bengals in the SB. Bengals take it all.

No doubt the clowns will blame Dak, Moore, Cooper not being here, yada yada yada so lets hear it all.

This was a very good season and the Cowboys are heading in the right direction with a great young defense and are right there at the top of the NFL in that handful of 6 or so teams that are true contenders.

They came to play that is for sure. They came this........close, but lost the game. So, if you are projecting what the team will be next season, nobody knows.

It could get better like us Cowboy fans want, but it could also get worse.

Buddy, your too fixated. Dak had an all world game last week and had a bad game this week.

Great, lets move on. Do you have any interest in discussing anything else about the game or the team?
It's not about his peaks. The road to a SB is a single game elimination... You can't have a QB play poorly in any of these games. Yes he had a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious game last week! That's not important on the road to the SB... It's about consistency.. CONSISTENCY!

Agreed.....they did show they belonged. But losing Pollard was huge. He was very effective and a huge threat in the short passing game. What made this offense dynamic disappeared once he left the game!
It felt like they were about to hit their stride with Pollard. Had he not gotten hurt, I think the game would have been ours. We were getting to Purdy …With our game plan featuring Pollard would have made them crack under pressure..especially Purdy Him going out changed the entire game for us. We still had multiple opportunities to take control. Diggs not making that pick was the final killer. Turpin or cutting outside I’m very disappointed in Diggs.

Prescott. No longer has the arm strength, to make the outside throw it’s obvious, and Kellen Moore should’ve known that and changed the plays

We are a franchise that hasn’t seen a NFCCG in 27 years. Our company is the Commanders and Lions.

I think that’s what people laugh at.
That's a very specific, cherry-picked fact, only used to ridicule one specific team.

Nobody cares about NFCCG appearances. Super Bowl wins are what matter.

I've seen my team win 3 Super Bowls since '92.

So I laugh at ALLLLL the fans that can't say the same.

I remember a time when not winning a Super Bowl was considered a failure...
Okay, then say we've failed for the past 27 years.

And so have the vast majority of NFL teams, right?

But we've won 3 Super Bowls in the last 30 years, right?

So all the teams that CAN'T say that are bigger laughingstocks than we are.

By your own lofty, Super Bowl standards.

I hear ya Nate, I just believe we are where we are. Fix what need fixin. Folks said we haven't Improved. Really? We won an away playoff Game for the first time in 30 years. Keep who we can and Build through the draft,

go all in in Free agency for a change. I just never have and never will agree with making major changes to a 12-5 Divisional Round team that loss by 7 to a juggernaut. We measured up against an elite team and came up wanting. OK , do you

tuck tail and run ? Or do you say, we see where we are and get better ?
I just don't see it happening. To free up enough cap space to even resign the players we want to keep will mean kicking Dak’s can further down the road with a restructure that ensures he's here even longer. I think we will once again be trying to pull from the bargain bin in free agency on defense and this time around we won't have Quinn to squeeze juice out of a rock. We'll see, and I'll watch, but I'm not optimistic that any real strides will be made. We are still only going as far as Dak leads us and well...this seems to be his ceiling.

Really when was that? They have never been THIS close.
Lol what?

We were this close in 2016. Same exact place, a Divisional loss but at least we were robbed of that one, we just gave this one away.

I’d rather be the Lions than the Cowboys heading into next year. We don’t have the ownership, the front office, the head coach or the QB to compete deep into the playoffs.

But enjoy the whiskey or tequila ir whatever wine you’re having. I’m actually jealous you feel this good after a collapse like we had yesterday.

Yes, I agree. Need a new QB and a little more DLine distruption, and we are there.

Not my standards anymore, I just said I remember a time when that was the standard. What people really want to see is a team getting better but the cowboys are inconsistent and have been be it Romo as the QB or Dak. In the end we did no better than last year, this team is getting older, the window of opportunity that opened up in 2016 is closing, You honestly feel better about next year based on this year?
