Oddly, this game was confirmation for me that the Cowboys are right there

The Cowboys are right there. Niners are just a little better. In a way I am proud of this team. They showed up today and for at least half of the game, we were the better team. It wasnt like last year where we got embarrassed. We lost, but unlike the gleeful homers I didnt expect us to win. Dak didnt have a great game by any stretch, but again, against the #1 defense on the road I didnt expect him to. Dak is NOT elite. Top 10 but not elite. I thought the defense played great, they just got tired in the 4th quarter. I thought the Oline had a great game.

This game was essentially over the moment Pollard went out. I was proud of the coaching staff. It ONLY took 4 years and one playoff game, but they finally figured out how much better Pollard is than Zeke. They started Pollard and were featuring him until he went down. Sadly we had to depend on the horrid Zeke and the first two drives out of the he basically had 2 yards and 5 touches with 2 dropped passes.

Without Pollard, I think its abundantly obvious that we simply dont have enough playmakers. If I am the Cowboys I find a way to resign Pollard and Shultz and I get out of the Gallup contract if at all possible without much penalty. I make WR a priority in the offseason along with another RB to go with Pollard.

ON the road, this was a game that would come down to a one or two mistake here and there and thats exactly what happened. 2 picks by Dak, which were NOT good throws at all. Even the tipped ball he shouldnt have thrown. But again, was he feeling pressed because we cant rely on our kicker? Who knows? Niners D had 3 chances for picks and they capitalized on two of them. Well done. Cowboys had two easy picks and dropped them both. It matters. If turpin goes to the outside on that kickoff return, he has a easy TD. A few little things here and there.

Cowboys are right there. Niners/Bengals in the SB. Bengals take it all.

No doubt the clowns will blame Dak, Moore, Cooper not being here, yada yada yada so lets hear it all.

This was a very good season and the Cowboys are heading in the right direction with a great young defense and are right there at the top of the NFL in that handful of 6 or so teams that are true contenders.
I agree with a lot of what you said. Here's 2 more thoughts to add. 1. Quinn is likely outa here and will the next DC be as good? 2. They don't appear very mentally tough.

Not my standards anymore, I just said I remember a time when that was the standard. What people really want to see is a team getting better but the cowboys are inconsistent and have been be it Romo as the QB or Dak. In the end we did no better than last year, this team is getting older, the window of opportunity that opened up in 2016 is closing, You honestly feel better about next year based on this year?
What? We DID do better than last year. We lost in the WC round last year.

This is one of the most pathetic threads I've seen on here. Talk about a complete lack of self awareness from the OP.

The Cowboys with Dak would still fail to enter the NFCCG by 2030 and some of y'all would still chirp "We're almost there!!!"

Our 7th-year $40M QB just got out played by a Mr. Irrelevent 7th Round Rookie and 'We're right there' :lmao2:

All I said is we're not a laughingstock.

You take that to the extreme because you have no argument.
The Dak haters that predicted Doom and gloom are pissed that we were 1/4 away from the championship game.

Hilarious stuff.

How do you come to that conclusion when Dallas was 1 of 4 other teams that lost this weekend. So you are saying Dallas did better than Buffalo, Jacksonville, and the Giants? Based on what criteria?
So the assertion that only 4 other teams did better is skewed.
Because Bills loss 27-10 to the Bengals Dallas lost 19-12 to a Better 49ers team The Giants got waxed by Philly the Jaguars are close because they loss to KC by seven as well.

See it's not that hard to support the team you pretend you like

No Body is listening to you!!! It's not gonna happen, stop Dreamin.
You know why ? Because you don't know what the hell you are talking about
You are way better than this....an emotional replay is not healthy ...if you disagree it is ok I respect your opinion as each is entitled to his or her opinion
cheers

Doesn't feel like better when we win Because Brady looked as bad as he did. My own perspective, you may have your own.
And our defense had NOTHING to do with Brady looking the way he did?

How about the offense's performance vs the Bucs' defense? Bucs were 8th in defensive efficiency this year.

Also won a road playoff game for the first time since '92.

Losing sucks. One team is happy at the end of the year. And make no mistake... beating SF and then losing at Philly would've sucked just as badly.

The Green Bay and Jacksonville games told me they weren't.

Packers were terrible and they still let Rodgers crap all over them with an unheard of rookie WR. The Jags with a playoff spot on the line and yet another uninspired outing. How does getting laughed off the field in the divisional round tell you they're close? Those 2 games mentioned were a stain long before they faced the Niners and got bounced... AGAIN.

Its a statistical fact you cant escape. He's also in the top 10 in 90% of the QB rankings.

Facts are stubborn things.
I could give two ***** about statistics. That alone does not tell the story, clearly!
