Oddly, this game was confirmation for me that the Cowboys are right there

Oh yah, how did Dak start off bad against the bucs. LOL

Lets hear this one. Please share with me your top notch analysis.

Like the High but Caught pass to Gallup and some other plays by Dak that made me cringe early on. Dak had some help last week.

I agree except I thought the OLine looked terrible. Just were getting dominated inside which basically killed any ability to get the running game going. It was really obvious on the 4th and 1 play where Zeke gets swiped at in the backfield and hit a yard behind the line and has to basically carry them over the LoS just to get that yard. The OLine was simply outmatched which is why it is probably the primary target of the draft and offseason (though there is not much in FA).
Ok, well we can disagree on that. Niners Dline and front 7 is the best in the NFL.

Zeke just sucks. Pollard was getting his yards before he got hurt. I guess what I mean is considering who they were playing they held their own.

NO, I see a big difference than last year. This team came to play. Yes they still had the dumb little things, but nowhere near what they had last year. This team is RIGHT there, especially with this defense. We know the offense is in a bit of a restructuring. AT RB, WR and Oline.
yes they are right there, , in fact this was 92 , but with a loss due to a backup QB instead of a win with Aikman.

Moral Victory! I guess we have been clinging on to these for the last 30 years.

Pollard was out. Cee Dee is a weapon. Who else?
The big problem when Pollard is out is that Zeke is soooo bad that the run game is now non existent. Defense doesnt even have to worry about it. And the dump offs to the RB, well he cant even catch.

The Cowboys are right there. Niners are just a little better. In a way I am proud of this team. They showed up today and for at least half of the game, we were the better team. It wasnt like last year where we got embarrassed. We lost, but unlike the gleeful homers I didnt expect us to win. Dak didnt have a great game by any stretch, but again, against the #1 defense on the road I didnt expect him to. Dak is NOT elite. Top 10 but not elite. I thought the defense played great, they just got tired in the 4th quarter. I thought the Oline had a great game.

This game was essentially over the moment Pollard went out. I was proud of the coaching staff. It ONLY took 4 years and one playoff game, but they finally figured out how much better Pollard is than Zeke. They started Pollard and were featuring him until he went down. Sadly we had to depend on the horrid Zeke and the first two drives out of the he basically had 2 yards and 5 touches with 2 dropped passes.

Without Pollard, I think its abundantly obvious that we simply dont have enough playmakers. If I am the Cowboys I find a way to resign Pollard and Shultz and I get out of the Gallup contract if at all possible without much penalty. I make WR a priority in the offseason along with another RB to go with Pollard.

ON the road, this was a game that would come down to a one or two mistake here and there and thats exactly what happened. 2 picks by Dak, which were NOT good throws at all. Even the tipped ball he shouldnt have thrown. But again, was he feeling pressed because we cant rely on our kicker? Who knows? Niners D had 3 chances for picks and they capitalized on two of them. Well done. Cowboys had two easy picks and dropped them both. It matters. If turpin goes to the outside on that kickoff return, he has a easy TD. A few little things here and there.

Cowboys are right there. Niners/Bengals in the SB. Bengals take it all.

No doubt the clowns will blame Dak, Moore, Cooper not being here, yada yada yada so lets hear it all.

This was a very good season and the Cowboys are heading in the right direction with a great young defense and are right there at the top of the NFL in that handful of 6 or so teams that are true contenders.
I appreciate the positivity, and I share many of these sentiments but the reality is until the Cowboys get beyond the divisional round its the same old story.

They now have 10 free agent starters, some can be replaced, but this team is going to look very different next year.

Good players yes, but not big play makers. I like Shultz, but nothing compared to McCaffrey, Deebo, their TE.
Schultz is a stud at TE, which he showed last game. And for the last 2 seasons. Gallup is a thousand yard receiver type.

Yes. W/ Ceedee, Shultz, Gallup, and Hilton, Dak has a very nice receiving corps.
Im fine with recieving weapons, but not with no run game and Zeke as your feature back. Pollard was probably our best weapon on offense. And going to Zeke is a monster step down.

Maybe it is, or maybe some people don't turn into peasants with pitchforks after a loss ? And Nate I am not calling you out. I don't like starting threads just to get them taken down or merged.

and this seems like a good jump off point. So we get ready to drafts some players that we need and we get ready for next season.

We get some help on both lines we do something like get Hopkins or some big name WR. We come back and try it again next season
This team is going to look vastly different next season. Pitchforks and torches levl...we'll see. But there will likely be no Zeke, no LVE, Kearse(?) Schultz (?). Not to mention what will happen with our coordinators

Maybe.

If we catch balls thrown to us we win too.

If Pollard doesn't go down for the year...we probably can win too.

Dak didn't play well but there wasn't a lot of help either. The usual formula we have for a loss. 50 yards rushing isn't going to cut it.
Stop. Stop with the “buts”.

Dak was the single biggest reason we lost. It’s that simple. Two bad picks that cost us points. He missed open WRs for big gains. He was awful tonight.

I get it. You guys have invested so much into defending him over the years it’s just natural to want to blame others too.

But better QB play tonight regardless of what happens to Pollard and we win. He was that bad, that off.

Time to accept reality. He’s a decent QB. He’s not much better than that and he’s not really a big game QB either.

yep I heard that last year. We will have to wait and see what they do. If Zeke is still on this team next season we can all sit back and start drinking. there will be no hope.
