8-8, 9-7ish range.

I mean 7 full seasons in Dallas and 5 have been 8-8 or 9-7 (and last year's 9-7 was probably really 8-8 if the Eagles play their starters for most of that last game). I'll go with the law of averages until otherwise proven different.

On the flipside, though, 2014 - good, 2015 - bad, 2016 - good, 2017 - bad. Trend says 2018 should be good.

Wow, this thread is depressing. Most of us think we will suck next season.

It's not an outrageous position to take if one thinks this team won't make the playoffs. Questions abound at this point - coaching, QB, WR, LB, etc.

Only for those who are constantly looking for something to complain about.
.

So for clarification purposes here, it's illogical and simply complaining to have questions about this team that might keep them from having a successful (read playoffs) season?

If it was only once in a while but for you and others who EVERY DAY state your same "concerns" which is usually something along the lines of needing to replace the coach, the starting QB that stops being a concern and has turned into complaining a long time ago.

Some moreso than others, you'd agree correct? Unless you are arguing that the Cleveland Browns have the same amount of questions that say the Patriots have in the preseason.

The Cowboys have quite a few questions. Denying that is absurd. Could those questions get answered positively in the 2018 season? Absolutely. Is it illogical to think based on the evidence we have, that 2018 might not be a complete success because of those questions? Of course not.

I've never said Prescott needs to be replaced.

But why let that fact get in the way of a good, dumb rant?
