I'm so completely frusturated. It seems like when we need Romo he goes and throws an INT.

He just has a knack for throwing an INT at the worst times:banghead:

I lay a ton of blame at Romos feet. Problem is he only plays one position.

Geez....like Football is an individual sport....did he have it tough today? Sure. But we WERE playing the #1 rated defense in everything.

Were some of those turnovers unexcusable? Sure.

I'll say this....we wouldn't have nearly the wind that we would the past 3 years if it weren't for Romo.

We'd be mired in more 5-11 seasons with absolutely NO hope.

Would you take Ben over Romo? Anybody?

Let's see...Garrett's pitiful playcalling on 3rd down. He needs to be called Red Draw because everyone knows it's coming.

We completely wear out a rookie RB who had nothing left in the 4th quarter. Where's the help there?

Witten running for a 100-yard play and not looking back inside on his route when he was wide open?

Our safeties leaving the middle of the field completely open for big plays.

It twasn't all Romo tonight, although he did play terribly. We were lucky to get the TD we got.

Props to the D who fought their guts out.

:hammer:

you can't rely on Romo throwing against the wind

I blame Garrett, and his unimaginative playcalling way more than I do Romo, that 1st INT, what a stupid route that hasn't worked for us all year

Yeah I have to agree. I think I'll be more surprised than anything if we even win a playoff game with Romo. Before I thought he would get over the hump but I think it is obvious now, the guy just melts down in bigger games. It's just too much for him. I think the Thanksgiving spotlight is about all he can handle. It's sad because we all hoped we had finally found a QB that can do it but it's obviously not going to happen.

How can everyone be so quick to turn on Romo?? This was one of his fluke performances, which was halfway not even his fault. Not being able to run the ball leaves the game in Tony's hands and you same people that are hating on him now, praise him when he normally prevails in that situation. The team fought hard, Romo IS a leader, and he is one only 5 people in the entire WORLD that can be considered good quarterback right now. Tony Romo is not Danny White. Tony Romo is Tony Romo and we can all hope that when the sun sets on his career that that is a good thing.

True but the team played its butt off today man. I don't care what you say about the defense, they came out and laid it on the line today.

Romo flat out stunk from beginning, to the literal very end.

The deal was/is, Danny was a good QB who would at times throw up a fistful of interceptions. He didn't take care of the ball the way Roger did in his best seasons.

Tony is a good QB who will at times throw up a fistful of interceptions. In that sense Danny and Tony are similar.

David.
I know what it was about. I'm not near as dense as that.

Why in the hell would you do that? You want to start all over from 2001 again? And go 5-11 for 3 years? Romo is not a franchise QB and I seriously doubt we will ever see a playoff victory with him, but he's good enough to win most games in the regular season. Anyways, if you draft a QB, do you think a QB who can't even handle pressure situations down the stretch is going to be able to handle a young 1st round gun sitting behind him ready to take his job?

Well being realistic. Only the last one one bothered me... We were winning or tied after the first two and the fumble... And Witten was showing that it was his fault. And you could see that 1. he was open and 2. he stumbled coming out of his break and couldn't go up for the ball. It was hard to watch us dominate a team for 3+ quarters and get it ripped away to that putrid offense.

Well the last one was the dagger, obviously.

But even if Pittsburgh didn't do a whole lot of damage with the other turnovers (to be honest, I wasn't watching very closely till the 4th quarter) it changes the field position battle...and in a defensive struggle, field position becomes more important, especially on a windy day when the elements are bad. A 10 yard swing might not seem like much, but it might be the difference between a made and missed field goal on a day like that.

I really thought you guys were gonna win that game.

We were the first offense all year to score on the Steelers in the third quarter. This game could have gone either way. The wind effected passes, punts, and made it extremely cold. The elements were in the Steelers favor. I think the Cowboys played pretty well today other than the turnovers. They sacked Ben like 5 times, caused turnovers, and we were able to move on the Steelers defense, just not at the end of the game when we needed it the most.

The Cowboys played great today. I was impressed with that rookie RB and your defense did well, definitely. It dictated to their offense from what I could tell.

Tony Romo is like the good guy who dies in movies in ways that break your heart.
Like Willem Dafoe in Platoon.
Like Andy Garcia in Black Rain.
Like Leonardo DiCaprio in The Departed.

That's Tony Romo...hurry and fall out of love with him.

Yes....it is.

Romo's a great QB. It's because of him that we're in position to earn a playoff spot.

He had a bad game today. It's not the first time a QB has screwed up against Pitt with the game on the line.

Remember Favre? Remember Aikman? Remember Hasselback?

They all lost games at the end by throwing ill-timed picks too.

All players....even the great ones....have times where they screw up.

And to say Romo's never won a big game is ridiculous as well. He won big game after big game last year. He beat the Commanders on the road this year. He beat GB at GB....He beat Philly in a big Monday nighter.

He's had two frickin chances in the playoffs.

If he screws up this year....then we might have a beef. But I remember folks getting all over Manning for not winning in the playoffs. He did quite well.

Exactly right!. :hammer:

Hey Texas Tech brotha, have we had a sicker couple of weeks or what? OU anhilates us knocking us out of virtually everything (national championship, any BCS bowl and any chance of a Heisman) and then our Cowboys lose a heartbreaker today and are on the ropes of even making the playoffs.

Throw in the economy and the beating I took in the stock market and I can't think of a more painful few weeks.

Thank God I have high brow problems

Any QB that hasn't won a playoff game SHOULD have doubters IMO.

Same with head coaches.

Dallas is loaded with talent (thanks to Jerry) on both sides of the ball, so there's no excuses for not making and not winning in the playoffs.

Then why not be pissed about the TWO, not one but TWO, fourth downs we went for and failed to get, and give them the ball at the 30-40yd line. Instead of punting and pinning that horrible offense inside their own 20?
