Romo just didn't look prepared to start the season.
.
He made awful decisions with the ball and it seemed like every pass was a floater.

I'm concerned and it's definitely time to start drafting qbs because he looked horrible physically.

I think a lot of people are putting a lot of stock into one albeit terrible game. We will know one way or the other by midseason.

That being said we need to find our future starter next draft.

You think he looks ok? Physically ok? Cause I don't.

Me neither, nor mentally. He was pulling the ball down and flinching at pressure that just wasn't there. I don't think he knows what to do with an Oline that can protect him for more than 3 seconds, and he was looking like he didn't want to take any hits.

And while he has never had the strongest arm there was nothing on his passes today. They were floating.

Again, I'm a big Romo supporter, he was definitely concerning today.

I'm just saying let's see what the next game brings. And the next one after that. Jumping to conclusions based on what we saw in one game isn't really fair. Maybe he isn't the same. There were several reports from many sources that said he was looking good in training camp.

There were also several others that said he didn't look good too.

Well you go with what's right in front of you. He had a very poor game but was it because of his back or something else? I think his back.

Don't know a thing about the Titans D.

8-8 is still within reach. Romo will play like he always has. Beat the bad teams and lose to teams like SF. I think it is funny that Romo supporter's have always said "give him a line and he will be awesome" well the line has arrived. Unfortunately, giving Romo a line and more time is like given a kid with ADD more sugar. He figures out ways to throw the ball to the wrong guy.

Yep he had nothing on his passes today. Music City awaits.

You could be right. Or he could bounce back. I'll take a wait and see approach.

But I'd rather cover my bases for 2015 and beyond regardless.

He is rusty. It will get better. It's optimum to fully expose it with one game and hope the wake-up call serves to change things around real fast, like next week. I have watched Romo enough to know he can fix this. It's mainly mental errors and lack of film study.

I know who the OP is. If you make a Jerry/Garrett/Rant Zone why are you making threads like this in the fan zone? Two of them.

A joke.

Perhaps they aren't rants. Perhaps they are uncomfortable truths that refute your hopeful beliefs about the current team.

I agree. They need to draft a QB. They'll go into next years draft I guess heavy on D & looking for the heir.

Yeah, Tony made some big mistakes, but it isn't impossible for our D or special teams to get some turnovers to even things out a bit, or at least get us some decent field position.

I don't want Winston. He just seems like a troubled kid. Stay in school boy.

I'm going to check out the Oregon guy. Total blank on him. I don't watch Duck games much even though I get them on my satellite.

You nailed it.

Tne concern is not that it happened, but if this is the new normal.

Exactly - and the fact that most of his mistakes occurred without much pressure - ie purely unforced.

That does give me pause I have to admit.

Another guy who intrigues but isn't eligible until 2016 is Christian Hackenberg.

I'm gonna check them all out although I've seen Winston quite a bit. Amazing talent.

Thanks for throwing those names out.

Send an email to Jerry too ok?
