Ha ha ha ha never fails. The what have you done for me today poster. Bad game, get rid of him! Start the rookie! News flash: Romo was due for a bad game. Just be glad it was against a non division team.

IF YOU CANT WIN FOR ME EVERY WEEK SO I FEEL BETTER ABOUT MYSELF BECAUSE I LIVE VICARIOUSLY THROUGH MY TEAM....

If you look through my post history, I have been a huge supporter of Romo, but you can't excuse this. Yeah, he made bonehead mistakes, throwing into triple and double coverage, but that isn't exactly what concerns me. What concerns me is that he has no zip on any of his passes. He was really inaccurate on DUMP OFF passes. He can't generate power from his hips to fire the ball.

Perspective.

Romo's rating today was 60.8.

Sub-70 ratings, career
Brees 39
PManning 35
Brady 30
Romo 17

The question is, Is this an aborration, or is this going to be the norm for 2014? Stay tuned.

Andrew Luck just threw his second pick. What a bum. He's got to be done. Get rid of him. We want Painter!

so lets see that 101 ints

an 23 fumbles lost

in 10 years

Plus he can not throw the deep ball any more plus no zip on it either - that one to Harris was Harris's doing

the back must be worse than we know

YES HE DOES LOOK LIKE 34 YEAR OLD OLD MAN

No, bottom line is he was never as good as fans thought he was and we should have never given him that huge contract.

He was as good as fans thought he was, but no he should not have been given that contract.

And I am no Manziel fan by any stretch, and I am glad saner heads prevailed, but we have been very delinquent in drafting his replacement coming off back problems at this age. He looked old today.

Off tipped passes to wide open receivers. If you can't see the difference between this and randomly chucking it up off your back foot to Witten in triple coverage in the end zone, you should probably just quit watching football.

You'd be hard pressed to find a bigger Romo homer than me, but today was pretty worrisome. If it doesn't get better pretty fast, I'm thinking it may never get better.

Ugh. I sure hope that's not the case though.

Some people on this board were saying that Romo didnt need preseason snaps or practice reps.

That had nothing to do with it. He pressed and he didn't have his usual magic. I fault him more for pushing than for the actual throws. They could have won the game had they called a better game and he didn't make some really stupid stupid mistakes. Why in the hell they insisted on throwing the ball inside the five yard line with their run game mystifies me. They got behind and Romo pressed more and failed even worse. It happens on occasion even with the best of them. He sucked and really bad. It's not the first time he has looked that bad and it won't be the last. Fortunately it hasn't happened often.

What's the story on Church and the other walking wounded?

You're right. He under threw a lot of passes today and was off the mark. He looked better at first. Was there some point when he could've been injured via a sack?

I would not be a fan anymore had they done something as stupid as that. It's amazing any one would think the "little man" is going to be successful in the NFL.

What's more stupid - drafting Johnny Manziel in the first round, or giving a 34-year-old Tony Romo with a bad back $100 million?

I don't know. Do you think the Witten end zone pick was a failed throw away attempt that he couldn't get enough power on? It seemed so odd to throw into triple coverage on that play.

Romo had a bad day. The line was alright but not great today. Harris had a bad game. Murray had a mediocre game, despite his yardage. The offense as a whole was off today. I thought in his limited reps Street looked alright.

What a crock, the line was awesome until Romo over and over, put them into one dimensional no win situations with all of his ill conceived throws. Murray averaged over 5 yds a carry and his single turnover was forced by the pressure of 3-4 guys colliding with him. He made amends and got tough yardage nearly every down thereafter. Tony on the other hand, made devastating un-forced errors series after series, serving up his top receivers in the process.

Tony singlehandedly lost a winnable game.

6 one way, half dozen the other.

However, completely stupid is giving Romo $100M and THEN drafting Manziel.

Well, when you are at home and getting routed and players are standing around laughing that's telling. No one is held accountable for anything. For the Billionth time, we are not going anywhere until Jerry hires a real coach and gives him total control. That HAS to happen and it will happen but don't plan on it happening any time soon. I'm tired of the delay of game calls, the bad play calling, Garrett clapping when we are down by 3 scores. Garrett is just happy to be the coach and knows Jerry is the only one stupid enough to hire him........and keep him regardless of the results. Jerry is getting richer while the team is going downhill. I think Jerry used to care about winning but its all about the money. As long as its rolling in and increasing by the year, he's going to stick with what's working regardless of wins and losses.......

I could see us winning 0-5 games. 5 is being generous. I would hope

Agreed. Whatever is wrong with him they will have to adjust the play calling to that. He needs to throw safe passes and let Dez and company get YAC, and run the ball, a lot.

This. He lost the mobility that made him successful. This is the beginning of the end. We saw it with Aikman in 1999, and White in 1986. Yes both came back the following year but they were never the same. Romo was very good at improvising and playing street ball. He's now a pocket passer and he doesn't have the arm strength to pull it off.

I guess it could be a bad pass for other reasons not bringing the decision to throw into the picture at all. That's a whole different problem. He had a bad day with his decisions. I suppose maybe the throws would have been better assuming no injury or other problem if indeed there's a physical problem.

You said it much better than I did.
