They keep a guy like him every year it seems. Someone who didn’t seem to earn it but they aren’t ready to give up on or potentially lose. They traded up to get him. That means they saw something they liked and aren’t ready to admit the trade was a mistake. He flashed a little potential early in camp so hopefully he just needs a little more time and experience.

I don't think he sucks. He is okay, not great. But he is fine as a backup. They are cutting him because they are going long on CBs and safeties. But they can protect 4 guys on the practice squad so it is like a parking place until they clear roster spots.

Watching Scott in the preseason it is hard for me to understand what they see in him. He has no recovery speed and NFL WRs will burn him. He is a practice squad player at best.
