How so? They cut Lindstrum and Hoffman, the only other Centers on the roster. Farniok is the only backup C left on the team. Sound like he is a lock to make the 53 now.

There are rumblings he is gone too.

Wouldn't have cut Cox....we just don't have any depth there now....

It could be they resign him to the 53 after they put some of the injured guys on IR. But yes, they are thin at LB.

Ya I think hes a gem not sure whatthe cowboys are doing but i guess if your talent is that strong its a good thing

Feel for most of these guys getting let go. Has to be hard called into the coach's office (or whatever form they use these days). They have worked their butts off, sacrificed their health, and probably have no backup plans either if pro sports didn't work out. Wouldn't be a fun day for any Coach or GM.

I don't think he sucks. He is okay, not great. But he is fine as a backup.

Jabril Cox got passed by Damone Clark last year and DeMarvion Overshown in training camp this year.

That isn't fine.

Cox has talent but something is holding him back.

Does Dallas even want to keep working with him on the Practice Squad at this point?

Is Cox ready for a change in scenery?

Whatever happens this season, I don't see Cox being a Cowboy in 2024.

Watching Scott in the preseason it is hard for me to understand what they see in him. He has no recovery speed and NFL WRs will burn him. He is a practice squad player at best.

Don’t disagree at all but what they see is a guy who cost them two draft picks. He gets at least to next year’s cuts before they admit they made a mistake.
