Cutler left a one dimensional team, with a shoddy defense - always playing from behind, with no running game.
The Bears gave up a lot, but its a good move for both teams IMO.
I think saying Denver had no running game is a big of hyperbole. They did not have a premier back, but they had a decent running game.
They averaged 4.8 yards per carry(387 carries) and produced 1862 yards.
Pittsburgh is considered to have a very good running game and they averaged 3.7 yards per carry(460 carries) and produced 1690 yards.
Dallas averaged 4.3 yards per carry(401 carries) and produced 1723 yards. The difference in these three franchises was their commitment to the run last season.
