Maybe we should expect the defense to hold up for 30 seconds. Dak isn't the reason we lost this game. Dak tied the game, gave it back to Green Bay and there were 30 seconds left. Aaron Rodgers tosses the ball for 20 yards down the field on the last throw of the game.

Why do people try and defend Dak on the screen play? It was awful and his fault. Two plays before that, of I remember correctly, he also threw the ball on the deep pass into triple coverage but the GB DB couldn't catch what was right in his hands.

If anything praise him for the fact he made up for it the rest of the game and didn't fold.

Boy are you going to get flamed!

Don't you realize that Linehan called the play for Dak to only throw the ball when a DB was between him and the WR?

Also Dak threw a deep ball poorly in the previous possession. He is going to the HOF but was average in this game, which is still impressive for a rookie QB.

Hopefully we have Jaylon Smith. And we might be able to trade a starting lineman with draft picks for a pass rusher. Walk. Chew gum.

Don't get too committed to a quarterback until they show repeatedly that they are at the top of the game. See: Romo years.

Dak has shown plenty this season for us not to have to take a QB with a first round pick. You don't draft a QB with a first round pick unless you need a starting QB and we have our starter. No problem drafting one later but we need to use our top pick on the defensive side of the ball. Our defense is lagging way behind our offense and we've got to fix it. We need a pass rush and we need better cover corners. Mo can't stay healthy, Carr isn't the answer and Scandrick has declined. I'm also not sold on Byron Jones.

Don't think he's any more of a leader than Romo.

Man, it's amazing how his absence has skewed some fan's opinions of what and who he was.

Romo was NEVER a leader. He was a guy that played QB. Go back and read that Romo was never a vocal leader.

He was the QB on the team that quit on Wade. He was the QB for 44-3. He was the QB that would go to the bench, pout and not interact with anyone else.

For years, he was the Dallas Cowboys Celebrity QB, and only in the last few years did he decide to grow up a bit.

In his rookie season, Dak has galvanized the team like Romo never could.

If your point is that Dak didn't play any better than he did in the regular season, you got me there.

My point is that its comical to post the average QB rating of the league and compare it to Dak today when Dak has more tools around him than any QB in the NFL.

The only person getting flamed in here is that guy wanting another QB drafted. lol

It's amusing, because they give all the credit to Dak on the pass plays that resulted in TDs that were great calls by Linehan. The play action to Witten for the TD was beautiful, and got him wide open and so was the TD to Dez.

And GB also started playing soft as well, particularly because of how battered their DBs were. So they were partly to blame as well.

Tony was a leader. Just because he didn't do it in a flashy way like Dak displays his leadership doesn't mean he wasn't one. This team was dependent on this man for years and everyone knew it. All the players looked up to him in the locker room because they knew he was the only reason they would win games.

Yes, Dak made a bad throw. And this from someone who has defended Romo and who thought Romo got too much blame for some losses. I can admit to Dak making a bad throw on the INT. But, his doubters who want to focus on that need to not pretend that Romo hasn't made bad throws/mistakes in big and important games.

 Romo is a different style leader, but he's just as effective. The leadership that everybody says never existed with Romo led to the team looking out of sorts for an entire half, which was if anything worse than normal. I didn't see any result in the improved leadership in the 2 biggest games of the year, NYG part 2 and the playoff game.

He also played what is probably the worst pass defense in the NFL with all their injuries.
