Official Dak Prescott Thread **merged**

It also got us a franchise quarterback with a career 106 passer rating who is also 22 years old.

I'm not sure why this is so hard for you to understand. It's not hard. This team is COMPLETELY different than the one two years ago. The Cowboys look like they found key pieces at multiple positions this year including a FRANCHISE QUARTERBACK with a 4th round pick.

They used a Compensatory fourth round pick to get a first round bye in the playoffs. If you don't see that as progress, I suggest you reevaluate your understanding of progress.
How is this team different from 2014? Other than QB and Rb, you have a lot of the same pieces from that time.

That's like saying "How is a volkswagen different than an Audi, other than the engine and the transmission?". When you get a young, talented franchise quarterback and a generational talent at running back, the difference is night and day.

We can have Dak, hell.. even Rodgers in our team.. with this PATHETIC head coach and front office.. we are not going ti be a winning franchise EVER

Actually, I think the front office has done well. The head coach? Well, that's debatable. I will give you that.

Ok. I thought you were talking about team and not just two players. Nvm.

Dak outplayed Aaron Rogers. He deserved a win.

"Dak also did what so many pundits and experts, even those who sang his praises heading into the game, worried he could not. He mounted that comeback after his defense put him and his team in a big, big hole. That's the stuff of all-timers, not rookies with someone like Tony Romo waiting (graciously on his end) in the background.

And he did so, under massive pressure -- literally and figuratively. When blitzed against a Packers defense smelling blood, Dak was dizzyingly composed: 7-for-8 for 105 yards, two touchdowns and a 158.3 QB rating.

I mean, come on. That's just ridiculous.

Even Rodgers couldn't help but praise his young adversary.

"The guy is outstanding," he told reporters after the game. "A phenomenal year. The Cowboys have a bright future with Dak Prescott."

He's garbage. We should trade him. The Cowboys are never going to win again. No progress.

I'm just saving a bunch of unintelligent fans all their worn out arguments. I love Dak.

How did dak outplay Rodgers? Rodgers was perfect with no name players. His accuracy was perfect. He lead his receivers beautifully.

People really think Dak outplayed Rodgers? That's nuts to me, because with Zeke having a pretty good game whenever he was used, how did the Packers win then?

Dak had a better rating and threw for more touchdowns. The defense had a rough go of it and they had far more success with yards after the catch than they should have.

Dak had a better rating because he threw for more tds instead of letting the RB run it in, but Rodgers did more with less. It wasn't even particularly close imo, Dak had a mediocre first half, good 3rd quarter, and an amazing 4th quarter. Rodgers played like Dak did in the second half for the whole game.

So at worst you'll admit Dak matched Aaron Rodgers.

Dak had a higher quarterback rating, 103.2 to Rogers' 96.7. Rogers was amazing, but Dak was a little better. Even more impressive considering the hole Dak was put in due to penalties, dropped passes, questionable coaching, and poor defense. Today Dak earned the respect of everyone who loves football.

Isnt it ok to like both players?

Why does always have to be either/or with some you
It's okay (I like both players), but the "this team would have won with Romo" narrative is just tired. These arguments are exhausting because wins and losses are a team effort.

I agree. Team game. That should apply for all QBs...win or lose.

I actually like Romo. It's his he-can-do-no-wrong fans that drive me nuts.
So you're doing the same thing with Dak along with the Romo haters? o_O He was far from perfect today and to say that Romo could have performed better isn't saying he could do no wrong.
