***Official Draft Thread Day THREE***

Picks didn't work out. I am sure this is the first time that a 4th rounder was not a successful pick in the history of the NFL draft. We are so unlucky.

*sigh*

Name me the last 4th rd pick the Cowboys have hit on? I'm tired of drafting guys like Isaiah Stanback in the 4th rd that don't pan out. And I'm tired of watching that FO High Fiving and chest Bumpin after they make picks like this just to see them get cut for a Undrafted guy in a few months.

This has to be on Will McClay. He was going to run this draft in middle rounds with emphasis on D. Can we stop the annointed articles on him now.

Can we see 1 down from the player before we judge anything?

Hindsight is always 20/20, and it's easy to draft from the armchair of your couch. Same with playing sports, it's easy to say he should've done this or that, but it's not so easy when you're actually doing it.

I understand you're point but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have panicked and threw away our 3rd round pick for nothing and taken a 7th round prospect in the 4th if I was in the war room actually drafting. But don't tell me that those players I listed doesn't look much better than who we actually drafted...

This guy will probably back up Lee at MLB. Who knows if Lee can come back from the neck injury. I like the pick, seems like a reach but then again it's a crap shoot from the 4th round on.

CNNSI draft tracker has a grade for every player and almost every player picked in round 4 had a grade of 6.something.
Hitchens grade was 1.0.

The Bears are having a really good draft. Good value at each pick and all at positions of need. Stacking up that D-Line and the DB position. Cowboys, take notes.

Doug Free?

sorry but you're not qualified....you make too much sense, and that's something that doesn't work in this organization...!

It makes sense to draft players who were all taken several picks after Dallas'?

I guess that makes a lot of GMs idiots. Or maybe those guys have just as good of a reason to not value Clinton-Dix over Martin, etc., or even Nix over Will Sutton, who was taken a pick earlier in the third round.

Every year, people are convinced players should be taken higher than they go. Occasionally, they are correct (which just shows the nature of the draft). Sometimes they are absolutely wrong.

Reminds me of when everyone was all over Dallas taking the tall safety in the fifth round and just so surprised that he wasn't taken much, much earlier. We found out exactly why he wasn't taken much, much earlier.
