***Official Draft Thread Day THREE***

Savage to the Texans. Glad. I think he's overrated and don't think he's going to be any good.

Damn - Lions take Larry Webster. I liked him as a developmental edge prospect.

Not by much. The draft is a national holiday to me. I've been watching game film for over 3 months. Hitchens was a bad pick in the 4th no matter what anybody says.

very cool.. Yet your on here posting on a forum and not employed by a single NFL team as a scout ??? I find that so hard to believe ..
Sorry I had to post this .. Just a little fun ..

So I know that everyone hates the last pick but what position or who is everyone wanting for our next pick? who's still out there?

It's a deep draft. Still talent to be had. But expect the unexpected with the Cowboys. Probably will be a guy we know nothing about.

Name me the last 4th rd pick the Cowboys have hit on? I'm tired of drafting guys like Isaiah Stanback in the 4th rd that don't pan out. And I'm tired of watching that FO High Fiving and chest Bumpin after they make picks like this just to see them get cut for a Undrafted guy in a few months.

hahaha.. "high fiving and chest bumping."

Still need defensive line help. Quarles is still there, as is Zach Moore, Caraun Reid and Deandre Coleman from Cal would be an interesting player as a 1T. 315 pounds, and can move. I doubt that Anthony Johnson is on their board.

lmao if you go to the CBS Sports website, and look at the round grades for OLBs... there's about 10 players with a "7th-FA" grade... then you get to Anthony Hitchens and his round grades simply reads "---"

You can't wiggle out of this being extraordinary. But you don't know how it turns out either. I don't like it as they could have gotten him later IMO. Guess they didn't want to wait. TBD in 3 years.

or less when he gets cut next summer
:)

At times, its just not worth the reply

Yeah because blindly supporting a front office that has failed for over a decade is SO much better. At least try to use whatever brain you have and attempt to formulate you're own opinion. It's not that hard to learn about a player in the age of the internet

I hope they look at some potential 3s and DEs as well as CBs and another LB.

I definitely think they are looking to trade up. They have been on the phone a lot in the last 10 minutes.

It makes sense to draft players who were all taken several picks after Dallas'?

I guess that makes a lot of GMs idiots. Or maybe those guys have just as good of a reason to not value Clinton-Dix over Martin, etc., or even Nix over Will Sutton, who was taken a pick earlier in the third round.

Every year, people are convinced players should be taken higher than they go. Occasionally, they are correct (which just shows the nature of the draft). Sometimes they are absolutely wrong.

Reminds me of when everyone was all over Dallas taking the tall safety in the fifth round and just so surprised that he wasn't taken much, much earlier. We found out exactly why he wasn't taken much, much earlier.

I'd take the Ravens draft selections who pick right after Dallas in a heartbeat...

Head scratcher, but give him 3 years and see if he's 4th round worthy. He's a Dallas Cowboy now. Not a big fan of him being a 7th round grade for many analysts, but I have a list of about 5 with 7th-FA grades that I wouldve taken in the 4th. Patience for the young man. Most exciting day of his life!!

Man you guys would have gone nuts in the days of Brandt with his flyers. People think he was so great (rightfully so) but go and look at all his misses.
