Publicly start boycotting sponsors of the Dallas Cowboys and it will be more effective than posting things on a forum. Jerry cares about the money, hit him where it hurts (corporate sponsors). I am done with watching the Cowboys until Kiffin, Garrett, and Callahan are no longer a part of the "organization."

Good luck with that. People like watching the Cowboys. They're nowhere near the point where they'd be forced to change for economic reasons. The reality is, people will watch them as long as they're interesting, and they're an interesting team, if nothing else.

You are correct, they are nowhere near the point of making changes because of economic reasons. But that is because there is no existing adverse economic impact for Jerry Jones or the Cowboys' organization. If, however, Jerry Jones is purely driven by money (as many critics contend) a "pain in his purse" would be the only thing that would compell him to change his behavior. Therefore, the only way for fans to influence behavioral outcomes from a business man is to hurt his business. Don't buy the apparel, stop supporting Cowboys sponsors (and voice publicly that it is occuring and why) and the sponsors will pull out. If sponsors began pulling out, it would completely grab Jerry's attention and he would feel the need to address the problem.

He addresses what he perceives to be the problem every year or two, or three.

Problem is he doesn't know what the problem truly is so he never gets it right.

Nor will he get it right with the changes he makes after this failure of a season.

I think people would watch them for the same reason people watched Keeping Up With the Kardashians, if nothing else. It's a big enough reality tv sensation at this point, that it drives its own viewership. And Jerry knows exactly how to keep them relevant. He doesn't mind the negative publicity as long as it's publicity.

What might happen is more loyal football fans will go elsewhere, and we'll be left with more casual fans who are intrigued by the drama, but that's sort of been happening over the years, here, anyway, hasn't it? At least it seems like that's what's going on.
