I just know that red-head's are evil, just can't prove it yet.......
I have a feeling JG doesn't have the balls to sit him or tell Romo off like Parcells would. IIRC Bledsoe was benched for Romo because he was told not to do something but kept on doing it during the game against the Giants. That had to be a hard decision for Parcells to make because Bledsoe was pretty close to Parcells.
.
Parcells also really liked Romo from the beginning. The reason I got on the Romo bandwagon to begin with was some Parcells comments 2 years before he would actually start. It wasn't like he was benching Bledsoe as much as he was deciding the time was right for the transition.
That said, Garret benching Romo for Weeden after one game would be a total knee jerk reaction. Weeden is nothing resembling a starting QB in this league and has no credibility with the team like Romo does. Especially after one game.
I still don't understand why they didn't run on the 2. Why he checked out of that. They had called a TO too I think.
Did you not see what Todd Archer tweeted? He said Jerry told them that Romo audibled out of the run. Which surprises me none. He does this all the time, including GB. He has no concept of the flow of an offense.
It's also weird how an owner would throw his 100million dollar QB under the bus. Or why he's even discussing football X's and O's anyways.
This organization is a circus.
Yea I saw that but I was just wondering why he changed the play?
Jerry did throw him under the bus.

Two points:
Garrett didn't throw 3 INT's and fumbled a ball that went back for 6 with the first 58 seconds of the game.
If we do fire him, hiring a coach in his place isn't the question we should be asking. Will JJ allow the next regime to implement their system without his final say?? Will he give up full control? He will not let go of what he is trying to accomplish, which is to build a championship team without Jimmy.
Everyone is at fault except Jerry, Stephen and garrett
It was on romo today. But the same mistakes remain. Dallas needs a change.
Tap the breaks on this "fire Garrett" talk. It's only week 1 so it's way too early for this kind of over reaction. I'm all for doing whatever makes this team better. Firing Garrett won't fix anything at this point. I've never been an advocate of firing coaches during the season. The product coach Garrett put on the field was not acceptable and I expect this to get corrected.

I just get tired of talking about Garrett. Every year it's the same thing. This team is never prepared. They always beat themselves. I can't understand how some continue to compare him to Coach Landry. I haven't seen anything in his years as OC or HC that suggests that he'll ever be a great coach. This franchise deserves better. At least the fans do.
To Jerry,

I say to still take the team to the malt shop after the game...as they are used to being treated as good kiddos now.
Because he's Romo. He wants to pass pretty much every single down. What was the phrase thrown around last year? Romo friendly offense? Yeah that was a huge mistake. They let him in on the offensive gameplan preparation and gave him the keys to the offense. He will audible out of the run any chance he gets. They need to strip them of this ability. And if he still wants to do it, let him go take a seat on the bench. It is costing us points and games.
