that was pointed at the anti-Garrett crowd [group]

Anti Garrett group? Or fans that simply want to see some improvement and wins? Come on man, did you see how lost he looked standing there on the sidelines? We didnt even get thru game one of the season and he looked beat. Lost. Hopeless. Clueless. Not knowing what to do or which way to turn. He doesnt know what more he can do to get this team going. It was written all over his face.

I could care less if we win or dont win with Garrett as the HC. I just want to see some good football and wins. If he cant get it done move on and get someone who can. This fantasy that a few are holding onto of Garrett bringing back some Landryesque era and its just over the next hill or around the corner makes for some kind of fantasy but thats all it is. Its no different than the Romo lovers hoping Tony gets a Super Bowl so he gets his just due. That might be nice but I dont care about Tony getting any just due. I just wanna win a Super Bowl and if its Tony great, if not him somebody else. I dont care if its Michael Sam playing QB as long as we win.

Let go of some storyline fantasy about Garrett and look at whats happening. Year 4 of the Process is like year 1. And year 2. And year 3. And guess what, if there is a year 5 it'll look the same. If it goes 10 years it'll look the same. There's nothing being built here. Garrett is simply moving and adding buckets to catch the leaks from the roof.

My friend, I hear you. And we probably can match frustrations on that game.

Two games makes a trend...so, I'm still being patient.

Its just one game and Tony put the team in a bad position. This team can play and do well possibly, but not by making mistakes. We need to execute and play smart and then we have a chance to compete. We just arent good enough to overcome ourselves.

Lets hope week 2 is better.

bringing back some Landryesqu, some keep bring this Landry example up and I haven't seen any "Happy Posters" bring upp that
red herring. Romo had a bad game and he will have others those are the events that happen in NFL

It's a philosophical view, yes
It runs through my life as a practice
I've got buddies who I love dearly but their miserable because of their critical view
but thats not for this board.
It's more fun believing it's going to be better
I could care less if it sounds polly anna, football is for fun

I think today was mostly about poor execution from the QB. We had guys wide open for easy TDs and Romo foolishly forced it into coverage several times resulting in turnovers and missed opportunities.

I didn't agree with the play calling at the goal line but Garrett didn't make Romo float a pass up for grabs in the end zone.

Who made the decision for him to sit out of a lot of practices and not play with a new OC?

BP said it loud and clear before he left. "you gotta keep your thumb on this kid." so garrett naturally throws romo the keys and goes on vacation.

This presumes the HC knows what he is doing. Garrett just sucks as is evidenced by his bone-headed decisions outside of anything Romo-related... He doesn't know what he is doing.

........but it seems as if the coaches at this point in Romo's career expect him to change--he's a gunslinger, he's not gonna change. On the Goalline after Dunbar got it to the 3, needed 1 for a 1st.............tie Romo's hands by sending in Shortyardage set with Parnell and Weems......don't give Romo 4 WR's with the Defense showing 8+ in the box when they only have to protect 12 yard area......what the H4ll do the coaches think, Defense shows 9, Romo audibles, defense jumps out of it with 3 seconds on the clock..........it doesn't take a genius.

This is exactly the point, as stated endlessly. Peyton Manning calls his own plays and he can probably audible from a pass to a pass. Romo, in this offense, has two plays to choose from, a run and a pass. Based on the formation, he chooses one or the other. This is not the same thing as being like Manning.

Peyton Manning, football knowledge-wise, is a PhD. He makes mistakes of course but he's in command. He's a machine.

We look confused. Unprepared.

They CAN do it as witnessed by the Bronco game last year. At that time toe to toe with the best team in the league. This team is like a roller coaster. Up. Down. Fast. Slow.

It's a bumpy ride.

Jason isn't going anywhere during the season. Don't forget, he created the "Fight" t-shirt. Those go a long way when it comes to creating a winning football culture.

“Every day it’s a fight to be your best, whatever your field of endeavor you have,” Garrett said. “We talk about that a lot, and it’s really an important thing to understand. This is a unique opportunity that we all have – to play and coach for the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League.

“It’s a fight to be your best – it’s not a fight to try your best, it’s a fight to be your best.

I have a feeling JG doesn't have the balls to sit him or tell Romo off like Parcells would. IIRC Bledsoe was benched for Romo because he was told not to do something but kept on doing it during the game against the Giants. That had to be a hard decision for Parcells to make because Bledsoe was pretty close to Parcells.

Instead of having the guts to sit Romo , JG will probably go about his passive aggressive ways and throw Romo under the bus during one of his press conferences.

Problem is the backup stinks. He see's less than Romo did yesterday on a regular basis. I swear, sometimes I think Weeden is color blind.

And then.......Carter leans over and asks Claiborne............"What'd he say?"
