Official Jason Garrett Thread **merged**

You should be judged on the actions that lead to the end results. and if the end results continue to be a re-curing theme, then "walks like a duck, etc"

If I had been drinking with Jerry once, I might have been on the short list. It isnt just me that has seen it, and Im not talking about board members.
Really I didn't hear the post game guys or Troy say that he was a moron to spike it there.

if we come out prepared for this game
Substitutions etc

we win this game easily
Thats on coaching

We talked about the substitutions all week. Hell, the players talked about it. Then the first series we give them a few play and a third down conversion. Coaching. It will always be an uphill battle. Dak will have to overcome it. Tony never could, let's hope Dak can someday.

It's hard to get on a coach for just going 13-3. That's a great season considering the patch work defense and the fact two rookies played key roles in your offense.

But the guy and his staff really seem to make a lot of mistakes in big games. So on one hand, calling for his firing seems like an overreaction but part of me, deep down seems to understand it's unlikely Garrett will ever get this team over the hump. I just don't think he has what it takes unfortunately.

We aren't missing it all knowing one we just disagree with you. I'm of the belief they had enough time to score without spiking and if they didn't similar to what happened its even more less time left. If they run the ball instead of spike it that cook play doesn't happen cause they are probably out of time or so little time they just goto OT.
DAL wanted the TD and not just the FG...... the spike was OK but the 3rd and 3 should have been a QB draw or EE run.......GB would have use TO on 4th and 1 if they stopped us and we could use TO if we made it

They needed to run the ball on short yardage more. That int could have been avoided completely, and may have been the difference in the game.

The clocking with 50 seconds left was a HUGE blunder. Reminded me of Andy Reid.

That's the thing you really can't.

Chargers fired Schottenheimer after a 13-3 one and done season, but it's just so difficult as an owner to do so.

Of course we have the Garrett lets Jerry do his thing dynamic and Jasons going no where.

But damn man, Dak Zeke and Dez are no joke and if this guy stumble bums around with us going a respectable 11-5, 10-6 playoff appearance oops didn't quite make it next couple of years, i'm going to lose my mind.

Honestly, this is what I think it going to happen.

If I would have told any of you that we would go 13-3 and lose a heartbreaking loss to the Packers after being down 18 after losing Romo you would have called me insane. Maybe Jason should have run a play there, I don't know, but I think he gets some credit for what happened until today.[/QUOTE]

The bottom line is what happened today.

Chicago Cubs (what 105 years) had a pretty horrible end to their season in 2015, should they have fired everyone and started over?
they didn't lose to the mets because of the coaching staff

Garrett lost this game. If you don't see that I don't know what to tell you. We made countless mistakes, Green Bay made basically none, and they won at the last second. So who should shoulder the blame for this loss?

This is a top 8 team and should compete for a SB the next 5 years.....JG is not a problem

Sign and Draft some Defense and get JSmith and Tapper back and its on

I agree with this.

sure they did. and it would not of been a bad strategy to play it less aggressive, but I did not mind the decision there. they let the offense have a shot to win it all. two downs to get a first. timeout in their back pocket.

This loss is CLEARLY on the entire coaching staff. 1). We weren't prepared to play on either side of the ball, despite having essentially three weeks to prepare. 2). Whoever called the long pass play to Dez on our first possession (3rd and 2) should be fired). 2) who ever called a WR screen on 3rd and 1/2 yard that resulted in an interception when we were moving the ball at will should be fired. 3). Who ever decided we should spike the ball on first down with a timeout on our game tying field goal near the end of the game should be set on fire. The absolute worst call I've ever seen and I've watched a LOT of football.

So we were just that much better than the Packers that we could keep it within 3 when we are playing 15 on 11 and are making countless mistakes?
