*** Official non-Cowboys player cuts thread *** merged ***

Just saw that George Uko, DT, was cut by TB. I don't know anything about his professional career, but was a fan of him in college. I'd give him a look. Justin Coleman, rookie corner released by MIN, too.

Who is this Michaels and why are some Cowboys fans so gaga over him?

5 star kid out of high school that played at A&M. Had a good frosh year but then broke his leg his soph year. Had a good junior year going until he tore his ACL against Oklahoma. Saw his carries dip his senior year. Was a 2nd round pick in 2013 by the Seahawks.

The other seattle back that could be cut is Thomas Rawls. Rookie from CMU (started at Michigan but transferred).

I'd possibly take a flier on either but I think Michaels might have a higher ceiling.

Michael is not a good blocker and had some bad fumbles in college and then in the pre-season game where he may well have lost his job to Fred Jackson.

He has same BDay as me(tho I was a Senior in HS when he was born... good grief) which speaks well of him tho so maybe he can flesh out those parts of his game:)
He can run the ball for sure.

Jackson would have been a good addition, with our OL and QB.
a one year deal.

I think Rawls is more likely because he has PS eligibility.
Would you rather PS behind this Dallas OL or Seattle's?
Play behind Beastmode/Fred Jackson or DMC/Randle?

Jackson grew up here and played about 5 minutes from where the Cowboys Stadium now is... but he is 34 and has averaged ~4.0 YPC for the previous 3 seasons.
He's a solid stopgap choice if we had lost DMC or Randle to injury already but he's not really better than either.

CB Melvin White 6-1 205 cut by the Panthers. Texas native and is only 25, not sure if he plays ST though.

Assuming Michaels is cut and if Dallas really really wants him, they might have to give up a late pick for him. Seems illogical for someone thats getting cut, but there are a lot of teams ahead of us who could claim him before we do.
