I would have liked Jackson for this year then use a 2nd or 3rd pick next year on an RB.

That and you also have to see who they don't keep now.

So you'd be passing up the guy they wanted and picking up the guy they didn't?

That doesn't sound like a great plan to me, especially coming from a team with one of the best running attacks in recent years. Seattle knows what it's doing in that department.

I think Stephen Jones' cryptic comments about not being interested in Jackson, but maybe a young RB, may be directed at guys like Christine Michael and Thomas Rawls in Seattle. I honestly would offer Seattle a conditional 7th right now for Michael just to get him into camp for a week.

I thought that was the difference between being waived and released.

Yes, only players that are not vested veterans are waived. The vested veterans are not subject to waivers at this time of year.

The Cowboys are not signing a 34 year old running back.

Wow, at least two pretty good RBs from Seattle could be available. Will they keep 4 RBs? Rawls is the guy I'd want to get.

He has to be better than Trent Richardson who has been a complete bust
May have the worst vision of any RB I've seen in years

I've been doing a bit of homework on Richardson, and I keep coming across connections to the Cowboys. Garrett obviously has ties to Nick Saban, Richardson's coach at Alabama, so he will have detailed reports on him. And current Cowboys' running backs coach Gary Brown also coached him in his rookie (and most successful) season in Cleveland.

I'm not ready to beat the drum to sign the guy, but I have to admit that I am taking a long look at him and can't help but wonder if maybe someone in the Cowboys' front office is too?

I suspect they are looking
That's just smart move to look at any guy who had a great college career
But I just think the guy may have the worst vision I've seen
He can run through a hole just fine, his problem is finding it

Fred Jackson > Darren McFadden

He just ran for 48 yards and a TD in the last preseason game for the Bills.

As bad as Richardson is he may be better than Underware and Purfume Boy.

Seattle does know what they are doing, and they have proved they know how to build a team! Well said my friend .

I would have too, but I have no problem with using a 1st rounder on a back next year if someone is worthy.

The only back certain to be worth a 1st round pick next year is named Adrian Peterson.....oh wait....

Dolphins cut Brandon Fields, their former PB punter.

Hmm
