I suspect they are looking
That's just smart move to look at any guy who had a great college career
But I just think the guy may have the worst vision I've seen
He can run through a hole just fine, his problem is finding it

I've seen multiple shots of some if those pictures, and I'll just say it's amazing the difference a camera angle makes. What looks like clear sailing from one angle looks pretty bottled up from the all-22 angle.

That is true
That's why I always took runs by Murray where people said Murray left yards on the field with a grain of salt
And even watching on TV it's much easier to see a hole than on the field
But TR seems to always be running to the wrong spot
His best year he avg 3.6 td's per carry and has more fumbles than carries over 20 yards so he is no threat to break a big play
He is a decent reciever but 3 teams all the same result

Three poor running games too. If McFadden gets a free pass because 'it's Oakland', so does Richardson.

I'm not banging the drum for him, but I can't help but be a big intrigued. Can a guy once called "the best back to enter the league since Adrian Peterson" be as bad as things look? Or can this talented player turn things around running behind arguably the league's best offensive line? I have to say that I'm a bit curious and I wonder what those with connections to him have to say?

I'm sure the scouts are watching every run in his career. That's just being smart
But dmac has had injury problems much more than production problems
The raiders are really bad but even with the colts TR was bad
I trust this staff and if they think he can help I'm behind the move
But I don't think that's going to be the case
But we shall see

Didn't they sign that rb that played for New England that was like 34 a few years ago?

It was near the end of the season and they were desperate. If somebody like Jackson was available 10 games into the season, and Cowboys had multiple RB injuries, they would consider a 34 year old back.

I wouldn't mind if they took a look at Trey Millard, cut by the 49ers, as a potential replacement for Clutts and Hanna in a Hback and special teams role. Has that "position flex" that Jason likes to talk about. Not sure how he has looked since recovering from his injury.

The Browns will pay Taylor $5.477M plus no matter what so Cowboys (or any team) could get him at a reasonable rate.

If Cowboys paid him $2M, the Browns still have to pay him $3.477M.

I'd sign him immediately if Cowboys.

What happened with Taylor? A few years ago he was one of the key cogs to a very good defensive front in Cleveland. Still relatively young. It goes to show how fast production can change in the NFL. For most players, they only have a few years of peak play. It can go down fast.

They have Shelton now, and he asked for his release. He also just came back from injury. Unlikely this guy can play 1 tech like Marinelli wants. Pure NT.

Yeah, like I said, it's a big longshot I'm sure, but it's just a player that I've been doing some homework on. I'm always fascinated by reclamation projects anyway, and especially when it's a player that was at one time so unanimously highly regarded.

Played FS in college right?

Yep, he started only 6 games at FS his junior year, but that was his best with 8.5 TFL, 2 INT's for 101 yards and a touchdown, 7 PBU, 1 FF, 1 FR and a blocked FG for a 68-yard touchdown. He played CB his senior year and didn't even come close to those numbers in 13 games.
Here's a good write up on him.. http://www.catscratchreader.com/2013/5/3/4294922/a-closer-look-at-panthers-udfa-melvin-white
With 4.59 speed, I think the Panthers mistakenly pushed him into CB. He's young though and can still convert back to FS while learning a new defense IMO.

would you trade for Monte ball? i dont know why he has disappointed so far but those injuries didnt help.

Taylor would be amazing as the one tech. Perfect clogger in marinellies system.

Taylor really isn't a fit for this defense at all. He's best as a plugger, not a penetrator. He's also coming off of a knee injury, and has also had a torn pectoral.

He would be a good add for the Cardinals as a replacement NT for Dan Williams.
