LBs are ok with the exception of Washington.

Secondary is good, which is why you can blitz constantly.

What an AMAZING offensive line

It was a designed middle screen. Aren't the lineman supposed to release their blocks and allow the defensive lineman upfield?

guys, greg williams has had his def. blitz every preseason for the past 2 seasons. nothing different here.

so what's considered cheap and in "bad form" is the norm for Commanders coaching in the preseason,,, that's an odd thing to rationalize, even for a Commander fan..

The Commander defensive players aren't all that good individually....Greg Williams' constant blitzing really makes them appear better than they are.

I am not singling out the skins, I am saying it for everyone.

here is why I am saying it. Teams are not game planning for these games, they are just basically running a high tempo practice. Teams have not worked on these pass protections schemes for specific games and when a team comes out and overloads a side and then sends the corner from the other side, especially the qbs backside I think that is BS and its dangerous.

I think that stuff shouldnt happen until the third week. Blitzing corners when teams are basically just running basic stuff is bs and if a qb were to get hurt I think that would be complete bs.

I wouldn't be....it didn't look serious at all.

It gives him an excuse to sit out a couple of games.

He'll be fine.

Until you factor into the equation that he was suffering chronic shoulder/neck/stinger problems at the end of last year.

I've had Portis marked as a serious injury threat this year for that very reason. He's taken a tremendous amount of punishment the last two seasons. 700 carries and almost 800 touches. And although he's added some weight, he's not necessarily a naturally big framed guy. He also has a kamikazee running style which lends itself to a lot of big hits.
